I went in with little knowledge of source material. That is I haven't really read comics much in 20 years, and I hated captain america at the time. I did however enjoy the first movie and this one. They got me on board with him. I don't think it was crazy amazing or anything, but I've enjoyed my time with both movies. I felt this one was more even in terms of my enjoyment. The first one i really liked the first half and was ok on the second half. There were no surprises for me in winter soldier, but I enjoyed the ride for what it was. I do however tend to hold back my expectations regardless of what movie I'm going to see, so I guess I have that going for me.

Knowing there's dudes that get off on wearing inflatable suits, i was waiting for that to get real gross. -
I enjoyed it. The best part was the gravestone gag though by far.

I too haven't played in forever. I'm sure I was really unprepared for the last stand but the boss did something really annoying and hacked my doors pretty much immediately. This prevented my engi set aside for repairs from doing anything for way too long and I never recovered from it.

There's a vast difference between persecution and criticizing. I'm fairly aware of the salon vs patton oswalt stuff, and while salon is being over the top I hardly call it persecution. Persecution implies that their life has been severely affected in some way. The onion gets shit all the time because people dont get satire. It doesnt look like they're slowing down or shying away from their work because of it. -

Actually, we're pretty much in a golden age of comedy right now. Podcasting and the internet in general has really changed the game a lot in terms of being able to put yourself out there. There is also SO much comedy out there that revolves around these topics that apparently should be taboo. -

On that subject, my sister has internship at a food bank right now where everyone is super religious; they pray before each meal and all that. We're atheists of course. We went out to eat last night and were talking about how weird and uncomfortable that stuff was and the table next to us was giving us the dirtiest of looks and quickly left. So I guess I can interrupt their good time too! -

On the subject of surprising young players, there was this 5 year old boy who frequented the tf2 server I used to play on. He quite frankly was better and more communicative than most of the college age players. It was super weird hearing this high pitched boy voice asking engineers to setup teleports and sentries along with calling out spies and such.- 26 replies

Nerdist can heavily depend on the guest. The hosts only shows are generally good though
