  1. The Nintendo Wii U is Great Thread

Haptics! I'm excited to explore the texture of a tree, but not so much to feel the heat of lava.
  2. Edited

    Burned.
  3. Edited

    Seedy-d.
  4. POLITICS!

Ye gods and little fishes, some of these "where were you" reports make me feel old.
  5. Nintendo 3DS

I'm sensing some sort of acceptable resolution to this standoff... It's coming to me through the aether... I'm getting a "W," Sno - do you know anyone whos name starts with a W?
  6. Sony Shitshow

No, he's saying that means his card was in Sony's database, because he used it on PSN, and was therefore possibly available for stealing.
  7. Edited

    Retweeted.
  8. Life

    That seems completely logical.
  9. Edited

    Spoilered.
  10. POLITICS!

I was in college and didn't have a TV; I knew nothing about it until I got to my Java class. The prof tried to keep teaching but no-one was paying any attention.
  11. Life

At your current rate of growth, when do you anticipate you'll need to conduct a coup to get a big enough space for your 50,000,000 members? Summer's creeping in here, so I'm no longer able to walk to or from work past the lake full of mutant aggressive ducks.
  12. Wizaaaaaards!!

  13. That's neat! (And for some content, I give you Manic Miner in JavaScript.)
  14. Nostagia Gaming

I spent a while watching four Spectrum-controlled wizards battle each other in Chaos. It made me feel a little better. (Next, after an episode of Twin Peaks, I'm going to be reading through YS2 while Duckman is on in the background. '90S NOSTALGIA AHOY.)
  15. anime

Yes, it's one of my ringtones. (It was also my alarm sound until the husband kindly asked me to change it.)
  16. Obligatory comical YouTube thread

    Sheetrock. (No, hang on.)
  17. anime

    Aha, is this our chance?
  18. Sony Shitshow

Because you'd have to carry the notebook with you if you ever used the Internet anywhere else.
  19. What the hell is Hector?

I am in trouble (I was forced to run through a sprinkler for penance) because I forgot that the review of Hector for iThing was on Or Something before it was on (the currently-unavailable) PodGamer: http://orsomething.co.uk/420/inspector-hector-chapter-one/ A pity that the ad gave away some of the puzzle objects and solutions - I suppose with a puzzle game it's sort of impossible not to if you're including game footage.
  20. Variety

Hang on, I hadn't even got to the part with the dinosaurs.
  21. The threat of Big Dog

Big Dog, insect-phobe version: GEFE-S_I-tk Spoiler:
  22. Life

I'd advise you not to take up any of the street ear cleaners' offers. Erm, that's pretty much the only helpful thing I can think of off the top of my head.
  23. Variety

"He drove his car." "The other guy drove his car also." "He drove his car around a corner faster than the other guy." "The other guy caught up!" Repeat for at least 120 pages, find publisher, retire.
  24. What the hell is Hector?

Aaaargh! PodGamer reviewed this when it was just a point-and-clicky on the iThing, but of course PodGamer isn't available right now (Sob.). (Clause struck, subbes restrained. Ed)

That's going to be a long explanation! Basically, it's a calculated rating that tells a credit issuer how likely you are to pay back money you borrow from them. It is calculated off all sorts of metrics like your current debt load, how much of your available credit (your credit card or overdraft limit) you have used, how many times you have made late payments or defaulted on payments, how long you have had "revolving" credit lines (that means a credit or charge card, the longer you have had one or more with a good payment history the better, as it shows you're responsible), whether you've recently applied for credit, plus a bunch of other things.
