  1. The threat of Big Dog

YOU NEED TO STOP TEACHING IT WRONGNESS.
  2. Catherine

I wanted to pick it up but haven't the time to play a long game, so I'll settle for someone playing it, recording all the cutscenes and popping them up on GiantBomb or YouTube or something.
  3. The threat of Big Dog

I swear, I gave up ages ago.
  4. L.A. Noire

Allegedly there's some body language cues, but these may be as legitimate as the majority of the alleged Poker Night at the Inventory body language cues, i.e. complete bullshit resulting from confirmation bias.
  5. Chernobyl exclusion zone open to the public

I, on the other hand, love UrbEx and exploration of abandoned places. It is probably because I'm v nosy and the chance to see what you're not supposed to and peek into peoples lives through what they left behind in a place is such a thrill. Less so when it's layered over such a tragedy as Chernobyl or etc (I prefer abandoned hospitals, as apparently do 90% of the people doing UrbEx of abandoned places).
  6. Life

I keep mine on a shelf.
  7. Chernobyl exclusion zone open to the public

    Thumbs group holiday, anyone?
  8. Life

I can confirm a lack of GBA port on the DSi. I think someone mentioned the shoulder buttons in the 3DS thread. The DS that's 'mine' (we have one of every generation except the XL, as a household, which basically means shammack bought them and passed the old one(s) on to me if I wanted them) is the Lite and I haven't broken the shoulder buttons yet.
  9. PSN Hack

Oh man. This is... you couldn't write this, it would be too implausible.
  10. April 16, 2006?

    Spider solitaire.
  11. Extra Credit is great

I frequently find myself wanting to explore The Escapist beyond Zero Punctuation, but the gosh-darn ads they put everywhere really stick in my craw. I completely understand the need to make money, but the number of interstitials and "watch this ad before your video" and ad frames around everything... it's getting ridiculous. I keep expecting some bloke to come to my front door saying "Hi, I'm from the Escapist and I've been sent here today with a monologue about our advertisers." (I may be oversensitive in part because my ad blocker doesn't seem to stop them.)
  12. Bitchy thread tags

Someone spliced that cat with a shoe! The horror.
  13. L.A. Noire

I watched someone streaming a couple of cases from Disc 1 over the weekend - the Red Lipstick Murders was one of them, IIRC. It looked great, and while it wasn't incredibly fun to watch, the streamer insisted that it was fun to play.
  14. April 16, 2006?

Must be working on a different calendar. Are we pre-Roman?

    Law & Order: Planking
  16. Obligatory comical YouTube thread

    I...is this what Australia's like?
  17. PSN Hack

Fed up with the continued PlayStation Network downtime, PS3 owners are increasingly opting to trade in their consoles for cash or Xbox 360s.
  18. Movie/TV recommendations

A chum saw Attack the Block and really liked it; as an A&J fan I was already positively disposed towards it and this just increased it. Sadly it doesn't have a release date for the USA yet.
  19. BRINK

NON-LISTENER DETECTED. (Weinhandler, the name of that player, is a card game featured in The Idle Thumbs Podcast.)
  20. They could at least go out on something great, but this looks like it'll be a disappointment.
  21. Bitchy thread tags

    Hoorj!

  23. There was... a... blunderbuss, I think?
  24. Bitchy thread tags

Oh, that didn't actually happen. I redacted a swear but the meaning was clear (they've been edited now and I've chucked myself into the Punishment Well). Sorry; I've got it out of my system now and I sha'n't do it again.
