Damn it, but computers have become really complicated

Do you have a USB-based wireless adapter? I don't have a ton of networking know-how and I would have take the same troubleshooting steps as you. For me, the next step would be trying such an external adapter. Nowadays you can even buy "nano"-sized ones that barely protrude from the port, making it a semi-permanent solution for a laptop. -
Frog Fractions Well that sure was a game.

I've found it not very chatty, but I typically get responses if I drop a GG into chat or note a particular person's abundance of/lack of skill. Other than that, I tend to hear people with absolute garbage mics that I mute and people who are complaining about the mediocre "campaign".

Yeah, there's a little terminal beside each turret that you just have to hold x to hack.

I feel like some kind of superhuman at this game because every match I've played I've had the most Titan kills on either side of the battle. I dunno, I just feel like the Titans are such a huge force multiplier that my priority is always to take them out as quickly as possible. I particularly like the Amped Sidewinder burn card, which gives you a ridiculously huge clip and some degree of autotargeting, allowing you to take down a Titan-per-clip if unimpeded. Titan pilots seem to prioritize other Titans, so you can easily get the upper hand if you just have a teammate take all of the attention.

Hah, well I'm glad I said "I think he's asking". I simply assumed that the product would be digital because shipping would probably make this a profit-prohibitive enterprise. Further, I assumed "vector design or a digital painting" referred to a style of digital art rather than a disqualification of digital art in general.

I think he's asking for the resolution of the resulting art. 3600x2700 would be good for a 150 DPI 24" x 18" poster, for instance.

At the right angle, I feel like you could look like Jake Gyllenhaal.

Titanfall Campaign Intro - Edit: Imagine that there's a YouTube video here and that video never got pulled due to copyright from EA. Thanks EA! Gives me some really good space genre vibes. Nothing too novel in there, just a nice juxtaposition of imagery and vo.

I know you're saying this with sarcasm, but there is a kernel of truth to it. I admit that I'm no expert of personal finance and I bought my expensive keyboard sight unseen because it's a device I use on a regular basis. That said, it's been nothing but a vast improvement over all membrane keyboards I've used in the past that felt good in the stores but didn't hold up over time. That's not to say that my experience will be universal - in fact, it just points more to the whole experience being a coin flip unless you do have a one-in-a-million chance to trial-run a keyboard in normal usage scenarios.

Titanfall audio is huuuuuuuuuge:

Yeah, I've heard that both GreenManGaming and GameFly have released keys early for preload. Don't know about other third-party stores, but you should keep an eye out. Preloading my GF copy now.

I use a Steelseries 6GV2 with red switches, regularly sells for about $100 and I've seen it go on sale semi-frequently (once every 2-3 months) for $80. My only complaint is a lack of wrist rest, but most keyboards have insufficient ones so I'm happy to use an aftermarket/non-attached one.

Very impressive leap from 650 (Ti (Boost)) to this 750/750 Ti. For general gaming purposes at 1080p though, you really should go at least 660/760 or R9 270X unless you're quite concerned about power consumption. I think the 750 (Ti) is incredibly compelling for HTPC/Steam Machine variations where you're going to be aiming for 24hr operation and 60w is so much more enticing. I currently have a 7850 2GB in my HTPC (it's what I had lying around) and I'm really thinking about making this slight graphical downgrade for ~2-3x better power efficiency. I'm hoping that some company releases a low-profile version of this series of cards, I'd take it almost immediately for small form factor mini/micro-ATX cases that fit better into my entertainment center. -
C'mon man, there are so many threads for this already. Thanks for merging the thread, tabacco (I suspect, at least).

This is the worst.

So, is there a reason we threadzombied and are now using this thread instead of the proper one?

How the heck did I miss that? Looks pretty dope, if a little limited due to it being a kinda teaser thing. I want them to explain why she has those weird shoes. Oh, the possibilities of a prequel!

Anyone know what the deal is with this thing on their Steam page?

Mirror's Edge Even though I beat this game previously on Xbox 360 when it first came out, I had the PC version installed on my computer and figured I should clear out 7GB of space on my HDD and scratch a game off my "games not played" list on Steam. It was a pretty quick thing as I remembered, only a little over four hours that I beat in a handful of 30 minute one or two mission chunks. I suppose I also wanted to play it in case there is to in fact be a new Mirror's Edge title, because I want a complete perspective on the series as a whole. The one major thing that struck me is that the gameplay isn't nearly as fluid as I remember. Sure, there are tons of tricks thrown in there where you can land with a roll to avoid damage or using a chain of wallruns and wall jumps to go ridiculously farther than one would expect. But for every thing that felt super fluid and almost superhuman, I experienced a death because for some reason my jump off a monkey-bar-type suspended bar was too short, or I missed a jump because I jumped a little too early, despite the fact that it's really hard to tell visually how far I can go before executing that last-minute jump. I also think the story is theoretically good - I generally appreciate threadbare stories in games, I like a female protagonist who is saving her sister, I even like the "big government is bad" overtones to the actual plot points. That said, I hope they get even just slightly more ambitious with the sequel if there is one - if you go with the same world/universe, maybe have part of the game actually being the "running" business aspect and make the thing a deal gone wrong. The whole "running" as a profession was more or less a backdrop in ME1, and so when the government was targeting runners I didn't really detect the stakes and just had to assume the stakes were high because they threw a million helicopters and rent-a-cops at you.

I just found out that I own War in the North. I'm going to install it and play it because why not?

Is the download size really news? Some last-gen games were that big on PC, and current gen games like Battlefield 4 and Call of Duty: Ghosts have download sizes from 30-40GB. Blame it on next-gen having more stuff, higher texture resolution, or uncompressed audio, it won't make much difference as it's definitely the standard of the day and you're just going to have to get used to it by settling with big HDDs, spending some serious bank to buy huge SSDs to accommodate a library of games, or being very conservative with your SSD space and deleting when interest wanes.

Fair enough, you didn't really articulate that you tried out the Logitech models in the store and they didn't appeal to you. I like the feel of the Sensei in my limited touching in stores, so you might find it to your liking. That said, the spartan nature of Steelseries's design tends to yield less features as compared to Logitech mice, which sometimes do end up being worthwhile. I've also heard that SteelSeries's drivers/software are not super great, but I have no personal experience with their mice. I do like their keyboards better than Logitech's, mostly because the extra features there are more superfluous for my purposes. But if you're willing to go out of your comfort zone, I really do think the Razer Deathadder is the all-around best choice for a wired, reasonable mouse. The design is relatively understated for Razer and I've read extensive testing saying that it's one of the most technically proficient (optional cloud-based profile saving, optical sensor, low weight compared to similarly priced/classed mice, large and easy to press side buttons, ergonomic shape). I bought the Razer Mamba because it's basically a Deathadder but wireless, and it's easily the best mouse I've ever used for an extended period of time.

So, why make this topic if there were two choices, one of the two choices is a Logitech, and you actually refuse to buy a Logitech? Not trying to be an ass, but I'm just not seeing the point of this thread.
