Buying the 7-win Trials gun for 500 glimmer -> ~3 parts is the way that most hardcore people do it. I sometimes use Crucible to level up guns and armor, but only after I've unlocked the perks that make them good considering damage doesn't matter in regular Control. Inventory management has turned me into a madman writing insane scribblings -

Make sure that before you break down green/blue weapons, fully upgrade them via bounties. You don't need to buy all the perks or anything, just fill the green experience bar. They yield 1-2 more weapon parts each. Beyond that, yeah any kind of thing that yields a lot of items like strikes would be good.

Yeah, I would be willing to do normal Crota runs as I'm still lacking pretty much all the special weapons from that raid. But this weekend I'll probably be pretty busy with IB and Trials, so I wouldn't really want to commit to doing anything aside from those. I might hop on if you need a seat filled.

If you have an Eye of Sol or Icebreaker, they are both excellent options for getting a HB-esque experience (EoS for AA, Icebreaker for res-snipes). I run Messenger + Icebreaker like 75% of the time in Trials now for ammo and res-snipe reasons. As is my tradition, I'm doing all my Nightfalls tonight. I do know that most of you guys play later than me, but if you see me online and want to run a NF let me know. I'd make a post on the100 but I honestly don't know when I'll get started and I'll just do all three of them with whoever is around on my friend's list.

I don't know. His mobility and situational awareness is such that I don't think he's using one, but I could be wrong. When he streams he shows his sensitivity and it's always 3.

Nightfall is Taniks with Arc Burn, Juggler and Brawler. Heroic is Archon Priest with Juggler. POE 34 is pretty easy, Urrox with Solar Burn meaning no enemies do extra damage and you can Gjallarhorn/Ice Breaker the guy to dust. 35 is also not too bad, Brawler and Juggler. Also good Helmets from Variks this week, Int/Dis rolls for everyone.

It's theoretically possible to 3v3 matchmake "privately", my clan does it sometimes just for fun. If we got enough people playing concurrently from here, we could give it a try. Here's a short tutorial video - Also, the whole teams that disintegrate you instantly never goes away even if you're with a really solid team. Unfortunately, one aspect of the competitive scene of this game is just being prepared for disappointment. Trials is largely about luck, you could get matched with Triplewreck and you might as well unplug your controller.

Via reddit, if you play 6 IB games per weekday and 10 on the weekends you'll make rank 4 even if you're bad. If you're moderately good, you'll probably get rank 5 with that much time investment. If you have class items/shaders/emblems from older Iron Banners, you can play only an hour per day to get rank 5. Once you hit rank 5 with one character, the rate of XP gain for others is significantly faster. I got one character from rank 0 to 5 on the Monday of last IB.

Your stats aren't bad. With some practice and the right team, it's entirely possible that you could get a flawless. I went flawless twice with a guy w/ 0.87 kdr and 47% win percentage, you have 0.97 kdr and 49% win percentage. i believe in you

You can get three per character in Trials, the Lighthouse chest has a guaranteed etheric light.
  15. Destiny

Actually, this is a bad week for Skolas - Iron Banner starts this week. I just remembered because that is probably the easiest possible way for someone to get Etheric Light. You can buy one at rep 3 and one at rep 5. If you have three characters, that's six possible in exchange for essentially doing the bounties every day for at least one character and 30,000 glimmer.
  16. Destiny

Maybe, depends on the modifiers + depends on the Trials map next weekend.

Ouya has been purchased by Razer and founder Julie Uhrman has left the company The end of an era.

If you go to My Account > Help in the top right corner, there is an open chat for support that you could maybe ask that question in and get help. I've only ever been in one group at a time so I don't know how to address your issue personally.

You get one guaranteed key per week by doing at least one bounty. Beyond that, treasure keys have a chance to drop from Queen's Packages which you get for every Queen's 3-4 bounties you do. There is some synchronicity there, like yesterday there were two bounties for the moon (200 shards, 6 patrols) which would have worked well with the two weekly Queen's Bounties that were located at the moon. I just try to get to them whenever there is such a coincidence, within the span of a week there are usually at least one or two planet-specific bounties that can be done at the same time as Queen's. You can also get treasure keys from opening the small chests in the last room of POE.

It's good stats-wise, but the recoil pattern is pretty bad and the stability leaves something to be desired. The "in" thing right now is Hopscotch Pilgrim, which drops from Dragon Strikes/28 POE and has a much better recoil pattern and really solid stability. It's like a Messenger but better.

We didn't finish the raid, Atheon proved too hard for a group of 5 with a new guy and one guy who hasn't done hard mode before. But on the bright side, practically every got some experience with the relic and I think a good night's sleep + 1 extra person will do it for us. Also, my apologies if I was getting testy in the end. I think I've just gotten too used to groups where practically everyone knows what they're doing, but I shouldn't have let it bother me as much as I did. If anyone got any weapons from the raid thus far, make sure you upgrade them so that you're well equipped for future raids. All of them have perks that let you do more damage to oracles, which is pretty handy.

Future War Cult - The Fulcrum New Monarchy - Red Hand IX Roll for - Sights - Truesight IS, Quickdraw IS Perk 1 - Zen Moment, Final Round Perk 2 - Snapshot, Speed Reload, Braced Frame Perk 3 - Army of One, Hidden Hand, Luck in the Chamber, Counterbalance

So, like best-in-slot per weapon class? Because I don't really know if there's an overall BiS, so to speak. Since I don't really understand the question, I'll answer "what vendor guns are worth buying?" since that may cover what's being asked. Vanguard Quartermaster - Pest Control Matrix, 55A-Allfate (this class of Pulse Rifle will be heavily nerfed in 2.0, but is great right now), One/One Synesthete, GIVE/Take Equation Dead Orbit - Deadshot Luna SR2, Exodus Plan RS/1 (the roll on this Rocket Launcher is perfect out of the box for PvP) Future War Cult - The Fulcrum, The Conduit (this class of Pulse Rifle will be less nerfed and probably be best-in-class after 2.0) New Monarchy - Red Hand IX, Judgment VI Crucible Quartermaster - Low Down P-XIV, Zero Point LOTP Variks/House of Judgment - Shadow of Veils, Wolfborne Oath

    (what is BiS?)

Having a reliable legendary primary that I've been enjoying has opened up the other slots to more interesting fare. I've been running Messenger/Ice Breaker a lot, which is really nice when you're going for (sniper) headshot bounties. I also have been playing around with Plan C, which has been kinda fun since I've never really used Fusion Rifles very much in PvP and that one is basically best in class. I imagine Patience and Time would also be pretty entertaining, and it's the current weapon on offer from Xur to boot. Once I get Lord of Wolves, that'll probably be my next experiment for exotic secondaries to go with my Messenger/future Hopscotch. The best counter to shotguns are shotguns and The Last Word. And the strategies you suggest are good. I usually check out team composition before matches to get an idea of how much shotgun/everything else I'm dealing with so I can equip things appropriately. Also, autorifles were nerfed to hell. There are basically no viable ones in PvP, the closest are probably still the Suros and the legendary Summoner which you can get from Trials of Osiris. If you're actually interested in trying to make ARs work (they'll be unnerfed after patch 2.0, to some extent) the Pest Control Matrix from the Vanguard Vendor and Low Down P-XIV from the Crucible Vendor are both best-in-class when it comes to low ROF/high impact and high ROF/mid impact respectively. Roll them for something like Crowd Control/Single Point Sling/Hidden Hand or Rangefinder on the PCM and Crowd Control/High Caliber Rounds/Counterbalance on the Low Down.
