Thank god I tuned in - And let's be honest... Livestreaming is great!

I agree that they should have championed the right for that character to exist. I think the real fucked up thing is creating a universe that excuses the only choice being dragging a vulnerable character through the dirt or letting her die. I like TWD, but I don't think that the grimness of those choices are compelling in any way. It's part of the reason I don't really enjoy the show; if every eventuality leads to everyone being a dead man walking, then how is that really interesting at all?

Nah, I actually read the article and then proceeded to watch that part of the interview because I wanted the full context. Don't get me wrong, I don't think they handled that interview incredibly well. However, the tone of the interview that was being led by Greg Miller was sophomoric so they kind of laughed along with him a couple times where I felt they didn't seem incredibly comfortable with what he was asserting. I didn't see "glee" at any point discussing that character in that interview. They seemed excited at the choice itself in an almost mechanical sense, even going as far as to cite the statistics that 50% went one way and 50% went the other. Those statistics seem to mean a lot to Telltale, despite the fact that the choice itself may not be particularly tasteful or profound but ooh look it's balanced so there must be a meaningful decision there. I don't know, it doesn't seem as black and white as that article or you guys are making it out to be.

I think it's a bit odd to say that this thing has spoilers but it doesn't really matter if you experienced it, as though I'm supposed to take the interpretation of this article and adopt it as my general view of Telltale. Especially considering a lot about Telltale's games have to do with choice, if not substantively than at least in terms of tone which can really dictate how earnest their supposed ableism may seem to me if I had actually played the game.

There is a good Game Theory video on how people are probably actually Pokemon in the context of the Pokemon universe -

When you're not using them they're hanging out at Professor Oak's lab running around with other Pokemon of their species and having the time of their lives. :-((((( Also Pokemon are your best friends so they're happy to fight for you. :-((((((((((

For what it's worth, one socially exploitative aspect of AA's business that they seem to be actively trying to roll back is personally fully outweighed by local manufacture, fair treatment of employees, good quality of materials, generally comfortable clothes, etc. I think you should keep using them unless there really is some "perfect" alternative in play.

4A recently made a statement on their Steam community forum about Redux - http://steamcommunity.com/app/286690/discussions/0/34094415777794897/ Sounds like LL Redux will almost certainly not be worth it for people who already own the game on PC. With it coming out in just a couple weeks, I was considering the purchase but if they readily admit that it really only holds substantial value if you don't own the DLC (which is something I actually doubt) or care about the new Survival mode (I don't, personally) then I'll pass.

Man, I actually really want to play this game -

How do you do that and not hate the game? I remember trying to farm good IVs on a Zubat and I ended up making like 200 of them before I got tired of it and settled with like 3 30s and the rest 25-29s.

I use a pizza stone and peel, one essential element is having a good peel with a very narrow edge that lets you transfer the dough very easily (thicker peels sometimes let the pizza get caught at the end and you get a weird bunched up side of the pizza). I also prepare the pizza on the peel, mostly because I don't have a large butcher's block or counter space to do it. So, I flatten the dough on the peel and thus there's a decent amount of flour on the peel already. In addition, when I've spread the dough to my satisfaction I wrap it around a rolling pin and then apply a fair amount of semolina (use to use cornmeal, semolina is better) to the peel. You basically want enough so that there are no visible large gaps between the grains - it shouldn't be an even, 100% layer but you want to see more semolina than peel. Roll out the pizza over the semolina and start applying ingredients. I like to add mostly room temp or cold ingredients to the pizza to avoid sticking. If you put hot sauce and freshly sauteed ingredients on top, the dough will get stickier much faster. After I apply each layer of stuff (which is usually sauce, a little bit of cheese, 90% of the ingredients, more cheese and then the rest of the ingredients) I briefly check the sticky status by shaking the peel by the handle. If at any point the dough doesn't move freely on the peel, I gingerly lift whatever edge is sticking and throw some more semolina beneath. Also, don't put a ton of stuff on top of your pizza. I always put very little sauce, just enough cheese to make a decent layer, and then three or four types of veggies/meats max. Anyways, the reason I mention a stand mixer is for the dough hook. There's really no alternative tool that does exactly what a dough hook does on a stand mixer other than hand kneading. Handheld mixers that have a dough hook accessory are also generally notorious for having it break or not having enough leverage on the bowl to do it properly. I wouldn't say a stand mixer is a kitchen essential, especially for myself as I don't have a dishwasher. It would just make the job a bit easier.

Dan strikes me as someone who is carefree, accidental ignorant instead of stupidly, aggressively ignorant. Like when he talks about his manbaby food consumption habits, every now and then he mentions trying something for the first time recently and really liking it. It's not like Jeff who is almost vehemently manbaby in what he eats, for instance saying Dominos pizza is clearly superior to the more bespoke, artisan pizzas that would come out of independent pizza eateries.

I use this recipe - http://americanfood.about.com/od/pizzainsideandout/r/nypd.htm I don't have a stand mixer, I usually just make sure to mix and knead thoroughly so there are no pockets of flour and then let it rise overnight. Some recipes have you hand-knead for 15+ minutes, which I really can't handle without turning my arms into jelly.

It's one thing to joke about PC Master Race, but it's another to put it on your page advertising a cool gaming PC:

Twitch is doing a AMA on Reddit - http://www.reddit.com/r/IAmA/comments/2cwfu2/i_am_twitch_ceo_emmett_shear_ask_me_almost/ Conclusions thus far: 30 minute muting is due to "scan resolution" and will be reduced as they refine their algorithms. So I guess whatever software they're using is fairly imprecise. They are planning to actually identify why something was flagged, which isn't the case now lol? They are also planning to make sure there is no original music flagged (wtf, why is this happening at all?) There is currently no formal appeals process in place for reversing the takedowns - your only avenue is to "send [them] a counter-notification that is compliant with the provisions of the Digital Millennium Copyright Act (“DMCA”)" to feedback@twitch.tv, whatever the hell that means. They insist that this tech will never come to live streams. In other words, they implemented a piece of shit system and plan to improve it to a tolerable level of give and take in some indeterminate amount of time. Also, prolific streamer Cosmowright weighs in, including on why highlights are insufficient - http://www.reddit.com/r/IAmA/comments/2cwfu2/i_am_twitch_ceo_emmett_shear_ask_me_almost/cjjo9e0 -

I just think the content ID stuff is shitty because it takes a false positive-heavy tool and indiscriminately executes punishment based on it. When I say false positive, I mean not just in terms of this music was misidentified, but also that some stuff is being muted even if the original music wasn't licensed to any music publishers to begin with. I don't think anyone thinks it's a good idea, put that way. But when everything that's supposed to make that decision make sense is broken or poorly documented, then people get pissed off "irrationally". Also, potential solution - when Twitch is officially acquired by Google, maybe they can make it so you can link your Google Drive account to your Twitch account so that you can control exactly how much space is allocated to archiving and it manages that space dynamically based on resolution/bitrate preferences and the amount of Drive space you pay for.
