One interesting thing about the Apple Watch Edition that I noticed was the weird Twitter tension between "really nice watches cost this much" and "this costs too much, period". I sympathize with the latter position, mostly because I feel the first sentiment is a bit snobby because it totally doesn't acknowledge the fact that a smartwatch has an inherent end of usefulness (whether that's due to obsolescence with regard to functionality, the rechargeable battery dying, or software eventually becoming incompatible with it) while a luxury watch will theoretically serve its intended function forever.

Now that the GCN -> USB adapter exists, I'm kinda tempted to play Prime 1 and 2 in Dolphin to avoid the Wiimote stuff.

This is how I do mine - To cut them, take the wing, bend back against the joint to get a feel of where the junction is, use kitchen shears to cut through. You can also use a chef's knife, though I usually cut through the bone by accident if I use a chef's knife since it's so sharp. I don't marinate them. I make sure to pat down the wings with paper towels to get them as dry as possible, then coat them with a flour mixture. You can season the flour however you like - I've used stuff like cayenne and garlic powder, or even garam masala or chinese five-spice if I'm feeling experimental. Once you've coated the wings with flour, put them in the fridge for about an hour before baking. Oven goes to 425º F, put them in for about 20-25 min. per side (40-50 min. total) based on how big the wings are. For sauce, I usually do 1:1 hot sauce and butter. I've used Frank's Red Hot, Cholula, Louisiana Hot Sauce, Green Tobasco, you name it. Heat the sauce to melt the butter in it. Taste the sauce and use more or less butter based on how strong/mild you want it to be. Dip the wings once they're baked, if you like your wings particularly crispy you can add them back to the oven with broil/convection for 5 min with the sauce on them.

"Making chicken wings"? You'll have to be a little more specific than that.

Gym Pulls Woman's Membership After She Complained About a Transgender Woman in Locker Room This makes me really happy.

The echo chamber of Twitter prevails, enforcers are not security. That said, they are still figures of authority in the scheme of PAX so this is clearly a bad situation. I think a picture of the dude is going around, so PAX staff theoretically have all the information they need to track said dude down.

I have to say that when I was a stoner high school student my English teacher seemed both the most aware of the fact that I was totally blazed and the most cool with it.

Man, even reading that Storify is painful. I used to find the inanity of GG amusing, but nowadays it's so ridiculously tiresome and ultimately (IMO) unimportant. Is GG even really a thing? It really just strikes me as a handful of shitty people who used to identify with a hashtag but now disagree on certain things that nobody really cares about. I'm not more inclined to like Owen, Aurini, Roosh, Liana, TB, or anyone else more than anyone else in that group regardless of the minute reasons why they think they're more reasonable than each other.

Ah my mistake, I was in fact thinking about "cross-save". They really could benefit from a slightly more differentiated naming scheme, huh?
-
Cross-play generally refers to a persistent save across platforms, not necessarily multiplatform multiplayer fwiw. That's not to say it doesn't have it.

To the ever-present group of people on the fence, Nintendo US is selling refurb Deluxe bundles with Nintendoland and 3D World for $225 - https://store.nintendo.com/ng3/browse/productDetailColorSizePicker.jsp?productId=prod560316

You should see in the browser interface what platforms cross-buy would apply to. Some games will say PS3 | PS Vita, others will say PS3 | PS Vita | PS4 and a couple other combinations. Usually multiplayer is limited to a single platform unless otherwise indicated. Multiplayer is paywall locked on PS4, not on PS3 and Vita. And again, I'd not consider PS+ a monthly fee... it's so often on offer for $40/year that saying $10/month is kinda silly. I do however empathize with not using a device enough to justify a monthly fee, I did it for years with XBL but recently with their addition of Gold Free Games (similar to the Instant Collection for PS+) I've found it worthwhile to just pony up.

Take the case of the word "issues", who benefits from using it casually? Nobody. Who's hurt? Potentially people with mental differences. Solution? Don't use the word issues casually! I dunno man, I don't think our use of language can/should be boiled down to gains and losses. If all language was meant to have measurable benefit, I'd say there's no use for practically 90% of the speech conveyed on a daily basis. Does that mean we shouldn't be talking at all?
-
I really don't think it's that simple. People are hurt or offended by any number of things, reasonable or unreasonable alike. I think it's the job of any reasoned person to evaluate whether or not whatever thing they're doing or saying is worth the risk of offending someone. I mean, my political and religious beliefs are sure to offend some people but I hold them nonetheless. I imagine what you're saying here is that making an offhanded remark isn't nearly important enough to take that risk, but I still don't think that means that it's a foregone conclusion for every person. You saying that they're kind of an asshole for not making the same judgment as you seems presumptive.

Theoretically douche is for vagina and enema is for anal, though I don't really know if there is any functional or substantive difference. Also, anal sex != gay sex fwiw.

One thing I've been finding myself saying more is "mental" in lieu of crazy, mostly because I listen to a fair amount of podcasts from the UK where it seems like a pretty popular word. I guess it's also fairly insensitive. =/

I'm guessing she played the 3DS version. I own it but haven't played it, guess I should get around to it.

Aurini is an Omega-level asshole. He gets his power from skulls.

Man, I couldn't read much of those Aurini/Owen Skype logs but leave it to Aurini to make Owen seem like an "SJW ally" or something.

The charging dock is great, but I agree that a second controller is almost worth having just so you can swap if your controller dies. That said, far from essential particularly if you don't mind taking a break or playing corded. It may also be worth having a second controller if you don't have a controller to use with your PC, I know a lot of people who use it for their PC games and enjoy it.

All that shit seems ludicrous to the point where I barely believe it.

Is it DVI-D? There might be an issue with HDCP encoding if you do an analog conversion (aka, HDMI -> DVI-A/DVI-I)

I believe "What'cha been playing" was a gaming podcast trope thing that started with 1UP Yours back in the day.
