Dante's Inferno: The Game: The Book (based on Dante's Inferno: The Poem)

I feel like Shepard does gain more skill points, because in my first playthrough there'd be times where I have points to spend on Shepard but as I flipped through my party members, they were still stuck at zero. And before you ask, I'm sure that I didn't just forget to assign them. I liked to master skills rather than spread my points around, so I was pretty aware of how many points I had at any given time. Also, I just finished this game last night. Stayed up until 5 AM to do it, something I didn't think I was capable nor willing to do with a video game at this point in my life. I love this goddamn game. Easily propelled to my top 5 of all time.

A new multiplayer game (for the times when left for lobby gets too much)
JonCole replied to Armchair General's topic in Multiplayer Networking
Me too. After I go 10th prestige. -
I think the missions sorta tend to crank out focused loads of upgrades, so it really does tilt and sway for me. I had almost 70,000 iridium not too long ago, now I'm scraping the bottom of the barrel at about 4,000. I was bottoming out constantly on palladium a few hours ago, and now I've got about 95,000. Really, though, I just want more element zero.

If you're here to argue that the Mass Effect cover system is somehow proficient in any way, I just want to tell you that you're completely wrong.

Don't they have a flash version of it?

I managed to snag the Collector's DLC... I imagine that I missed it only by a couple minutes, because there was no indication that it was shut down when I saw the story break on various sites and people started posting about failures right after I tried.

Pretty great deal that I jumped on immediately: God of War Collection, $30 on Amazon, price matched from GameStop's price drop.

Well, the Cerberus Network code that'll come with new copies of the game for free and available on the Xbox Live Marketplace for $15 for used game buyers will provide just that - new quests, party members, armor, weapons, etc.

Best Buy, GameCrazy, and Amazon have the bonus "Inferno Armor" with preorder and Gamestop has the "Terminus Assault Armor" and "M-90 Blackstorm Heavy Weapon" with preorder. Don't make yourself buy it at Gamestop if only for the "free shit" angle.

Each playthrough counts as a different save. ME2 allows you to import up to 11 saves. So, as long as you haven't played through the game 11 times, you could import each individual Shepard from each individual playthough (regardless of new game +) as the foundation for a ME2 playthrough. ME2 imports a "hidden save" that occurs only at the game's completion. If you've only gotten part of the way through a ME playthrough, you will not have the option to import that save file.

Best Buy has some good deals this week, including Buy 2, Get 1 on 360 Platinum Hits titles and $10 off a $20 PSN card with the purchase of MAG. Amazon is offering $10 credit with the pre-order of several upcoming games, including Bioshock 2, Mass Effect 2, Dante's Inferno, Final Fantasy XIII, MAG, and Tatsunoko vs Capcom.

Maybe not, I dunno, I could have read it on a site where people use joystick mapping programs for games that really should support it.

Heard that the way to go was plugging in a 360 controller for the Mako.

As I said, there seemed to be a handful of disparate threads around the time of the Steam sale, so I didn't really bother digging them up. Sorry if this is a grave offense, but I just figured I'd start up a new thread and keep it fairly maintained.

Maybe you should try using Scavenger sometime. I didn't really buy it (mostly in favor of Marathon and Sleight of Hand) for the longest time, but when I tried it I was absolutely sold. It makes it so you essentially never run out of ammo on your primary weapons (Scavenger+ grants extra mags), makes ammo-limited secondaries totally deadly (the AA-12, Thumper come to mind), and makes equipment refill like it's nobody's business (unlimited Claymores is beautiful, though you can only have two laid down at any given time).

I'm hoping for MW2-like Spec Ops Cooperative missions, personally. I think those could be pretty well implemented, if done correctly.

But see, the value of a list comes hand in hand with knowing the criteria. For instance, what if you saw a list of the "top 100 people in the world"? The lack of context is what detracted from Game Informer's list, as far as I'm concerned.

That power was "Barrier" for me, what with my biotic/close-range combat dude. It would be nice to not have to spam all my shit right at the beginning of combat because of long cooldowns... it's not really optimal to have to use lift, barrier, throw, singularity, etc in a row before you actually begin fighting.

I'm sure they're saving up for D3rt ™ or something silly in the future.

For those that somehow didn't catch it, Irrational also has a new podcast called Irrational Behavior. It's produced in the same style as This American Life or A Life Well Wasted, namely a highly segmented, highly scripted format. Pretty good so far, especially if you're a fan of Shawn Elliott. Check it out.

Just watched A History of Violence and Appaloosa... just gotta say, Ed Harris and Viggo Mortensen have such great range. Mortensen can breathe a lot of life into characters who might be completely deadpan and boring if played by another actor, it's really amazing.

Yeah, I dick/wing Miffy over in GTA4 whenever possible.
