  2. I don't know if your joke format works with ones that require an initial response, but I'll throw this one out anyway: - Do you want to hear a joke about ghosts? - Sure! - That the spirit!
  3. What does a pig do when he needs to see a doctor? He makes an app-oink-ment.
  4. Destiny

SCREENSHOT TIME (Not really spoilers, just tagged to save screen space)
  5. Destiny (MP)

I'll be playing this on PS4 for the rest of the day. PSN ID LordKorax.
  6. Destiny

I got my digital pre-load counting down, and I took tomorrow off from work. You can have the Titan, I get all the Warlocks.
  7. I really like the way that the journal entries are implemented. Any note you find gives you clickable buttons for any important names involved, and clicking them generates a little green beacon that leads to the next nearest note related to that name. It gives you a way to intentionally follow a particular thread while still remaining completely optional, but if you want to wander around and find things yourself, there's nothing keeping you from doing so. Right now I'm following the journal entries of Ada, which are interesting in their own right, but because I found one of the last entries, the "next nearest" property of the beacon has me following the journey in reverse order, and I find that neat. Also, screenshots (hidden to avoid taking up a bunch of space):
  8. Borderlands 2

Sure, I'm still up for it.
  9. Man, you're lucky. I think they were coming into some sort of popularity when I was in elementary school, and even back then I thought of them as the stupid-ass shirts worn by people I didn't like.
  10. Games giveaway

All of those are still available, if you want them! I've sent you a Steam friend request!
  11. Weird. I remember seeing all that coverage, but I guess a lack of a definitive "This game is out now!" announcement resulted in my mind papering over it. It's good to know that the creator had set expectations low enough that the lack of sales is still okay.
  12. Illfonic made the commercial version of the freeware arena shooter Nexuiz that released in 2012, and was then quickly forgotten about. To be fair, I don't think it was necessarily bad, just so incredibly typical and also-ran that people didn't see a reason to play it.
  13. I just bought this, but I haven't taken the time to really play it yet. Maybe I just haven't been paying enough attention, but I barely remember seeing anything about this game. I thought it was still in beta/early access or something. It apparently hasn't been selling all that well, and I feel kind of bad for the dev team.
  14. Borderlands 2

I've got nothing to do today, so if you me me online, hit me up.
  15. Borderlands 2

I enjoyed the four major expansion packs, and I've had fun with the Mechromancer and her weird abilities. I haven't taken the time to play as the Psycho, so I can't speak to that at all. The Headhunter missions will depend on how much you care about character heads, since they're all just decent-length mission strings that end in a boss fight that gets you heads.
  16. The Idle Thumbs Store

"Coolly." Unless you meant "coolie," in which case there's a problem of an entirely different nature.
  17. Borderlands 2

I'd be down. I've got a high level Siren that I could wreck shop with, but I have no problem with starting a new character if something not quite so ridiculous is preferred.
  18. Games giveaway

    It's yours!

  20. The Binding of Isaac

http://store.steampowered.com/app/113200/ It's cheap ($5), and is temporarily cheaper (10% off). It's by Ed McMillen (Team Meat) and Florian Himsl (a pre-Team-Meat collaborator), with music from db Soundworks (Super Meat Boy soundtrack). Giant Bomb's quick look gives a pretty good idea of how it plays. In case anyone doesn't know: Smash-TV-like gameplay Zelda-like dungeon layout Rogue-like random generation of pretty much everything else. I've played for 8 hours, been killed 37 times, and just now finally finished the full game for the first time. I love this game so much. It's weird and gross, and I still have yet to encounter half of the items in it. One very minor complaint, though: no controller support. The keyboard controls are simple and easy enough to map using Joy2Key or similar, but it would have been nice.
  21. The threat of Watch Dogs

As iconic as his cap may be, Aiden himself isn't. He hasn't been in over 200 games since the early 80's, a majority of which are mechanically based around the act of jumping. It's not like the dev team somehow forgot to put in jumping and are nervously pulling at their collars hoping nobody will notice. They didn't think jumping was a necessary addition, and more than likely built the game world and systems while fully aware of it. I checked out at "same running animation as Assassin's Creed." WHAT? THOSE GOOD-FOR-NOTHING LAYABOUTS JUST REUSED A PERFECTLY SERVICEABLE ASSET THEY ALREADY HAD RATHER THAN SPEND THE TIME, MONEY, AND MANPOWER TO RECREATE IT? HARRUMPH!
  22. The threat of Watch Dogs

I would like to point out that the Polygon write-up of that event specifically referred to the baseball cap found inside as "iconic," and now I hate everything.
  23. Dark Souls(Demon's Souls successor)

I didn't realize the final boss was so soon after opening the Lord Vessel door. I put down my summon sign and five minutes later I was helping someone beat the game! Had fun doing some co-op with Cine and ROCKING some Forest Hunters. I finished the Artorias of the Abyss DLC, explored the Great Hollow & Ash Lake, and I even encountered an Evil Vagrant (http://darksouls.wikidot.com/vagrant)! I've been so absorbed by this game that I've missed a couple Spelunky Daily challenges, as well.
