Well, they claim they will have a solution for people to download their games. I hope the service will continue. It does seem very suspicious. To just suddenly go down like that? Over the weekend? Weird. I'm not sure how much attention it would garnish them anyway. People like us thumbs have opinions on the GOG service, but I'm not sure how much of a general Internet-using audience they can realistically reach.

I know what you mean, I was like that and got gradually better, but now I'm feeling the same way again that I've been promoted to Silver. I find myself not playing as much as I was! I know I'm pretty low level to be complaining but losing five out of every six gets intimidating. Playing with Thumbs will help, I'm sure.

What about all those vertical shooters still being made for the Dreamcast? Or were they "still" being made four years ago and are not being made now? It's weird to think of a flurry of vertical shooters returning to market, but then fighting games "came back" I guess.

I'm not a big fan of the Castlevania series either, but I'm a fan of the idea of it, if that makes any sense. I dig the idea and the setting, I was just never really into that genre of game. Probably just because I was crap at it when I was young. This all looks cool though.

Some people dig that whole thing. I just reply in regular speak. When I've done it, the role player doesn't seem to mind, and I'm cool with it if they are.

Oh God, I misspelled Battalion. You can tell I don't start threads much.

Ha ha, I know, right? I don't know... it's going to be really interesting to see what they do with it. I've been completely down on Kinect and Playstation Move but could bringing the crazy make it work maybe?

YES. Day One, as I believe the saying goes. I played Shadow and Colossus once, at a display PS2 in a video game store in Ireland before it became a Gamespot. I loved the five minutes I played it, and all I did was ride around in a horse. I can't wait for this. I have read March 2011 though. MARCH 2011!!!! I guess it's not THAT far away.

Crap. I'm sorry to hear that man. I'm knee deep in a dissertation so my playing ebbs and flows but I'll look out for you.

It happens, though I am on an unfortunate run of playing with one other thumb who's miles better than me. Doesn't do much for the confidence though I then actually won a Silver game so maybe I learned something. That something being, if I'm building an armory before a major battle in any league than Bronze, I'm probably going to lose. We'll make it happen next week!

Hopefully seeing you guys online in a little while! I've not been playing much but I've been getting my butt kicked in silver when I've been on. Still coming online, hoping for a crowd of thumbs.

How dare you!!! Nah, I won't judge you. I certainly don't have the indie game cred in any case. I haven't even played Gravity Bone. I might still give it a shot. John

Sounds awesome to me. I had somehow completely missed that this game existed until I saw it on Steam.

I'm in for Tuesday for the NA Thumb meet.

Yeah, I'm really not sure how interested I'm going to be in that narration after the first hour of gameplay.

I think I might be becoming a Megami Tensei fan...

I'm the same way, except every now and again I'll creep back to WOW and then...... solo for ages until a game comes out I like and the monthly fee becomes untenable. I might get Persona 3 Portable but I have an unfortunate tendency of playing the first eight or nine hours of a JRPG and then never quite getting back to it. I did that with the Persona remake on PSP. -

What about the free MMO? http://megaten.aeriagames.com/ I think if you like this then you are definitely a fan. -
Whoa. I really wish that was some kind of a joke. Just..... wow.

I didn't do the best job of turning up here and making it clear I was going to be on, or seeing what people were up to. We'll just make a better fist of it next time.

Sorry, might make me late, I meant. The perils of posting on my phone.

I just wanted to give a heads up, I have an international call that mighty masher met late for Wednesday night. I could possibly miss it completely but I don't think that's likely.

So, was I in the minority for having to face air-centric stuff in my last mission? It was fun, I basically had to produce marines, goliaths, vikings and missile turrets like my life depended on it.

It's funny, this game has really snuck up on me somehow, despite being Halo. I suspect with football season back in this weekend there'll be some "go get your Halo and pwn dudes bra" commercials around. Yet again, I delude myself with the idea that I'm not that bothered, then I will play a Halo game and the Halo fanboy will return. It's weird but I like it; I get all the excitement of fanboy love while I'm playing it, and than once I finish the game I forget all about it and thus don't do the other fanboy thing of getting into arguments on forums about storylines and such. Halo also have an Apple-like way of getting me into stuff that other people have invented (ie Firefight). You know, the same way Steve Jobs does the whole "company a tried it, company b tried it, but they didn't get it right. We did" and then announces something that has totally been done before. I was never tempted to play Gears 2 online but I will probably play Firefight on Halo Reach.

Is it going to have any connection at all with the cancelled DNF? Or are Gearbox just going to make an awesome Duke Nukem game in a year? I enjoyed the crap out of Borderlands, and I love me some Duke Nukem.

Yup, I think he's "creative director". Some more knowledgeable thumbs could let me know what that means.
