  1. Minecraft

Other than Iron which would be really helpful, some buckets of lava would be nice...
  2. Laptop Gaming?

Turned out be only about £600 actually, but still a miracle. For what it's worth I've been looking at this http://www.meshcomputers.com/Default.aspx?PAGE=PRODUCTVIEWPAGE&USG=PRODUCT&ENT=PRODUCT&KEY=877390 which looks pretty awesome for the cost, just been wondering about how much I would love to get into PC gaming, and whether it's worth giving up some consoles or at least console time.
  3. Thumbs of Legends

Sounds like something I'd have a go at, might pick it up one day and tell you guys about it. League of Thumbs?
  4. Castle Crashers PS3

Uhh, so it's basically like the ban hammer but sorta more like being raped through a hole?
  5. Castle Crashers PS3

This guy needs the smite of which can only come from a ban hammer.
  6. Laptop Gaming?

I could probably get used to the screen, but it's the price tag that really puts me off the M11x However, if this ( http://www.ndc.co.uk/Alienware_M11x_11_Gaming_Laptop__Netbook-11802.html#GBP ) is true to it's word, I'm set for it, can anybody see if there's something odd about it? I would love this for video editing and games, however, in regards to the other laptops, I'm only going to dabble in lower settings. I'm not after a rig that an run Crysis on full.
  7. Neptune's Bountiful Pride 4

Two games? Simoultaneously!? This is madness!
  8. Minecraft

Gah, I rectified the farm outside of the steak house, now there will be four trees and permanent crops there, I also started a mining shaft south of the spawn (opposite the "Congrats Nick" monument) but I got thrown out due to my internet connection and I'm not sure how much it will have saved, plus the 26 pieces of iron I had on me...
  9. Neptune's Bountiful Pride 4

Sounds good to me, I like standard, I've deliberately been putting off playing this game so that the experience will be totally new.
  10. Minecraft

Coming on now under my name, can't wait to see what hilarious stuff you guys have come up with.
  11. The Dancing Thumb (aka: music recommendations)

Anybody fans of Red Hot Chilli Peppers? I'm listening to The Zephyr Song right now, some really awesome yet nice music right there. Also a big American band, although it seems like a lot of their fanbase may be British, like me!
  12. Minecraft

Maybe Nick destroyed it out of spite?
  13. Minecraft

True, but I might have to spend that much due to space restraints, so a laptop may have to do the job...
  14. Minecraft

Gah I really want to play this now, anybody know a quick way to get £600?
  15. Neptune's Bountiful Pride 4

    Bump because I'm impatient.
  16. Minecraft

Lies, I can connect and play on my account from a friends house, and how would you explain the online singleplayer?
  17. Minecraft

It's logged in a cloud, so I guess you'll be fine, after all, there is an online version. I would advise digging into a nice mountain or hill, it gives some interesting space and means that you can start a mining shaft, I would also advise that unless you can build a door just hole it up with a one block of whatever and let some light in. Cover your walls in Torches so A) you can see and so no monsters can spawn (monsters can spawn anywhere where it's dark)

The wiki is probablies the best place, coal is just a single stick with the coal ontop (you may be thinking that you have coal when it's actually flint) Wood is obvious, and there is only two metals really. Iron (which can be found underground and looks like dirt with little pieces of orange in it) which can be turned into steel by putting it into the furnace, and Gold which is pretty much useless. Rock is different, gravel (which goes away as quickly as dirt) is affected by gravity and is useless for making stuff, whereas most other rocks (except coal) can be used to craft because they're all the same.
  19. Minecraft

From wood you can make the wooden blocks, fill all four slots in your grid and you'll make a crafting bench. The crafting bench is the only way to get a 3x3 grid.
  20. Minecraft

If you download the game you can play the full one for free until it's fixed.
  21. Minecraft

I've never even encoutered those buggers, but they sound nasty and annoying.
  22. New people: Read this, say hi.

Well hello there, I like video games and looking into them slightly further than most (thanks to Idle Thumbs!) Found you guys at around about episode 30 and was hooked ever since.
  23. Neptune's Bountiful Pride 4

Well, I'm really interested in this now, half because it's my kinda game, and half because I barely know anybody here and it looks like a great community experience, please make another oh lords of RTS.
  24. Minecraft

You can just use normal stone for blocking stuff, or buckets alternatively (if you can get to the source block.) Gold is useless in a practical sense but in the real world it can be sold, so it has a value. And those circuits are just about useless, anything that could be created with them could be done much more easily without it.
  25. Minecraft

I did no that, but I read up on my obsidian today (as in the real world obsidian) and found out that it was primitively used as spearheads and arrowheads due to it's sharpness. So what's the current use for it? It seems like Notch made some weird decisions with Gold, Obsidian and Red Stone, they're all somewhat redundant right now, but could be interesting in the future...
