Neptune's Bountiful Pride 5

I've put you down for now, but if somebody does take your place, can I cheekily ask you to sort out the names? (That of course won't happen, because people on this forum are very nice, and don't like to take other people's places.) -
I dont think that I got such an email, mine just said that the winner would be chosen on FaceBook, or is that where the marketing stratergy lies?

Indeed you now are, this post may well have just been a peculiar bump, as I think this could fill up pretty quickly, which is always nice. -
Shall I make a thread? I'm going to get some credits for another forum that I'm on and would hate them to go to waste, so I can sort out all that stuff, we can get a player list up too.

Difficulty in games.. is it that difficult to understand?
SometingStupid replied to Tanukitsune's topic in Video Gaming
My curiosity is inclined to ask which game you speak of. My opinion on difficulty is that some games can do it really well with just the default approach, others can do it horribly wrong. A good example of a game that does it well is halo, where as it's counterpart, COD does it terribly. Giving the AI the mad skillz to be able to turn shoot and kill you before you've even taken out your gun doesn't count as a higher difficulty. It annoys me when games are broken down to perserverance rather than logic. -
I think just making a new thread would be the easiest way to get the numbers in, it also clarifies it. I think we just need to sort out a host and we're sorted right. Lobotomy volunterred if there's no objections.

This, plus, I'm fairly sure that we'll get by without too many problems. I would also like to see our post apocolyptic world, where all of our buildings have died and fallen.

Lava always infinite, not for me elmuertue, at least I think so, I've only really used lava in single player, which I know to be rather different. But you can't always collect lava unless it's a source block, and if it's not an infinite source block then surely the lava recedes?
-
Aww, what a shame, I would just mess around until you find it then.
-
The lava trick is to make a column of dirt two blocks high, put the lava ontop and then remove the dirt. The lava should turn into a never ending column.

That sounds so much more awesome when you're listening to a piece of classical music as it's just about to escalate into an epic composition. I too found a cave earlier after digging through my shaft for a good while. The floor was filled with lava which I tunnelled around until finding a water source and made a water tunnel to douse the lava. Then continued on, more lava and more water to sort it out with. Good job I brought two steel buckets! Then I come across what I have been waiting for, diamond! However, my excitement was ruined, when, after mining the first diamond, I found there was no more...

Every now and again I'll randomly sing part of a conversation to the tune of The Ballad of John Riccatello (the tune that is in the background the first time Bobby Kotick comes in.)

I'm sure somebody can help you out mate, if all else fails I'll do it, but seen as though I don't use steam all that much it might be better for somebody else to.

MineCraft? Notch said that he wanted a bigger studio and after he went holiday he said that he was going to Bellvue on a buisness trip...
-
Go ahead, make the thread. It's probablies the easiest way to get more people too.

Does anybody know of any books that any kind of information on the Nazi's fascination with the supernatural, particularly Die Glocke (or "The Bell") it's pretty interesting stuff. Fiction or fact will do... EDIT: The 2009 version of Wolfenstein may be a good place to start actually.

Was it really worthy of a ?

[irony] Just played it today and completed it! Bloody awesome game! Luckily I didn't have to pay for it because I went to http://www.itsascam.com which saved me a lot of money! [/irony]

I'm not totally sure, but there's shedloads to be done/added with redstone.
-
I'm not totally sure, but I reckon that, if they can make a computer out of it, we can probablies make something move...
-
My friend was trying to build a submarine today, but it just ended up being his underwater home. Do you guys think that it's possible? With enough redstone and stuff do you think we could make a submarine that actually moves and everything?

I agree with the platforming, but at the same time I don't think that much more could really be done with it unless it was Prince of Persia style. That said, it makes the platforming more linear and with less deaths, so I guess that's just a safer move for them. That GiantBomb video that Thompson posted sorta looked into the whole Monkey/Trip co-op and their relationship. So that's quite a useful source. Also, if that spoiler is true, then this game has already won my money.

Pretty much... Which makes it awesome!

So I've been wanting to get into PC gaming for a while, but due to me being more broke than the Pyro's flamethrower I've yet to get into it. However, after stumbling across around about £800 (I've had it for about two years but forgot all about it) I would like to get started. Unfortunatley, it looks as if laptops are the only way to go for me, due to having to move around lots etc... so, can you guys help out? I've had two friends helping me out who have sent me four nice looking computers within my price range, as well as some of my own research coupled with Chris Remo's suggestion lead me to the Alienware M11x. Anyway, here's the four laptops, and I'm open to suggestions. http://www.pcworld.co.uk/gbuk/hp-pavilion-dv3-4050ea-06487003-pdt.html http://www.pcworld.co.uk/gbuk/acer-aspire-7741g-04979037-pdt.html http://www.pcworld.co.uk/gbuk/dell-inspiron-n5010-blue-04998043-pdt.html http://www.pcworld.co.uk/gbuk/acer-aspire-7741g-04979037-pdt.html Thanks in advance.
