Good point. Even if the Rage fails the technology will still be there and could pretty fast refund the investment made on the game and raise the overall quality of games (in theory).

Civilization IV: Shut the Hell Up, Montezuma
Sleepdance replied to HPopper's topic in Multiplayer Networking
I'd agree, though I somewhat forgot to play this game for about a month. -
I see no reason criticising game's soundtrack outside the game, since the hole pourpuse of it is to contribute to the players enyoement of the game. But it is also nice when you can listen to it outside the game and still be amazed(Bioshock).

That was a great game tonight. Toblix, Poo and his friend and me in free for all in which I surprisingly won. With the use of the tacticts “Attack when Pocket is attacking Toblix and then let them kill each other and weaken Poo and then rule everyone with the mothership.” We should do it again.

He also mentioned that game will be evolving itself through some service, to which everyone playing will send his data(don't think that voluntarily).

Immortal, Colossi and Voidrays for the win!

So I'm playing Dragon Age right now and seeing all this stuff about the sequel makes me think. Right now I'm enjoeing it, but it is slowly becoming annoying, especialy in some espects that were clearly designed for older fans. Don't have a problem with that, since it is kinda what this game is about, but I would be glad for the noob mode. But even with Origins being that good, I don't think I could do it another time. It looks like they needed a game that could make a good franchise and then progres with their 'new gameplay sistems'(more streamlined combat,...). I'm kinda happy that they aren't milking the same cow again, but at least switching them every once in a while. (although the cow it is looking they are milking is almost as big as the first(Buldar's gate included) cow). Man, that was a bad cow comparison.

At the very begining it was very, very fast.

And I was referying it! If anyone is interested in playing some games, just message me on Steam(if I don't reply I'm not at the computer) and almost certanly I'll be able to play a game or two. BTW: Poo, Toblix did you fell that the second game(in one I also played) was very fast at times?

Little big planet is continuing to be the thing that makes me want PS3. But I wisely decided to keep my games expenses at minimum till next big Steam sale.

The Idle Thumbs Podcast Episode 12: The Silken Goku
Sleepdance replied to Jake's topic in Idle Thumbs Episodes & Streams
The thing that saddenes me is that in that article there were about 2 'free's in every sentance. I mean, did they expect that people expected that they would have to pay for this. -
In Starcraft the story just fells forced, while in DoW2 it fits perfectly in the world(if it would stand on it's own it would be realy realy bad).
-
The interesting thing about DoW2 is that it tells the story inside the world, that the player has to take for granted, with all of(from real life perspective) violent, hardcore stuff. If the player wants to expirience the story he has to agree with the game about the rules on which the wold operates. And inside those rules, the story of DoW2 is very, very good. Starcraft on the other hand just throws at you tons of story, without ever caring for the player's emotions(aka, how he should as Raynor fell about specific things). The cuonseqence is that player is completly lost and doesn't have the energy to process the good parts of the narative because he is just mentally overburdene.

Okay, soldiers. General Sleep has an order for you. GO PLAY OSMOS, but not just play it, also fell it. This game hit me out of surprise, I was just expecting a fun little game that didn't cost much. What happened was, that deeper I played into it, more I found myself, completely subconsciously, connecting my game interactions to the real world. Not in phisical way, but more on spiritual level. I don't want to spoil too much of it until at least some of you play it, but I will say this: THIS GAME BETTER SIMULATES REAL WORLD AND LIFE THAN ANY OTHER GAME. Fuck World of Goo, this is my goty for next four years. Now go play it and confirm that I'm not a lunatic!

The Idle Thumbs Podcast Episode 12: The Silken Goku
Sleepdance replied to Jake's topic in Idle Thumbs Episodes & Streams
Though I agree with you, I have to say that the last episode was at about 80% of the original ones and if you count that there are far less episodes of the newer ones I think that episodes would get to some extend on the same level if there were just more of them(not to bright of a future on that part I predict). Anyway it is very familiar to the Bioshock/Bioshock 2 relationship. -
Something is telling me that I just need to play x-com, and now with my shiny new card with which I can actually buy stuff(even on Steam) I have no excuse. Or maybe I'll just wait for a Steam sale....

Amazing(the song, what happened to Kolzig is very disturbing). Also Perpetuum Jazzile is amazing to see live.
-
If I remember that my first playthrough took me about 70 hours to finish and after that I spent another 40 on the second one.

No man. I just fund this article somehow and since it was sorta relevant to the topic I decided to post it, but I never said I agree with him. -

Prophet alert (At about 57-59 minutes of episode 43. Jake Rodkin announced that Guitar Hero will go open world.) And then in the reader mail segment, someone has also notified of a prediction made in War of the Broses episode. WTF?
