  1. So, how is everyone?

I, too, have started listening to the ol' Thumb Archives again. It's actually pretty nice, reliving the classic Thumbs moments, seeing the birth of "The Wizard" all over again.
  2. I haven't listened to this cast yet, but I'm glad to hear that it'll be continuing in some way. My hopes were high with Nick's mysterious tweet from the other day, and it's good to have it confirmed. Idle Thumbs was a fairly recent addition to my podcasting catalog, but it quickly became my favorite. I hope Nick the best of luck at Bethesda - probably one of my favorite developers - and the rest of the Thumbs to keep on truckin. (Insert meme about wizards or scoops here.)
  3. Longplays and Let's Plays?

I don't watch many of these, but I thought that this let's play was pretty amusing, even though I'd already played it. Also, British.
  4. Clerks and Casuals

I recently visited a bunch of family, including my 15-year-old, Call of Duty-loving, Halo-playing cousin. He kept trying to wow me with facts about the Modern Warfare 2 collector's edition (zomg, night vision goggles) and the failed Halo movie. It was interesting to see what a general member of the Xbox-live playing public thought of these games, even if I did know all this stuff already.
  5. Scribblenauts

This game will ruin GameFAQs. "So, to get the cat of the roof, all you need to do is use a mouse, or a squirt gun, or a bazooka, or a helicopter, or a giraffe, or..."
  6. So not only was this podcast lost, but it's from the future? Amazing.
  7. Yeah, I did walk into town, and alternately to the castle, where the guards wouldn't let me in, the jerks. I think I showed it to an old guy who was selling wares, but that's the last thing I remember. I was also 6 at the time, so that might have had something to do with it.
  8. Hey guys, I'm the one who asked for the adventure game recommendations, and wanted to thank everybody for all the suggestions. I'll make sure to try out at least a few of that long list of games. I actually played King's Quest VI randomly when I was younger, but I couldn't get past the first puzzle. I just remember washing up on a beach, and there was a ring, and that was about it. I'll have to try that again.
  9. Warren Spector's Disney project concept art

Wow, that's both awesome and horrifying. Disney has such a clean and shiny image that they like to portray that I don't see how this could work, but it's still cool looking.
  10. Best game credit roll/sequence

I couldn't find a video for this one, but the credits for Meteos on the DS were pretty interesting, because it involved playing more Meteos - which everyone can agree is a pretty good thing.
  11. Battlefield 1943

Are you only using the demo? I have the full version of the game and it's been working for me for the past 2 nights, the only problem I've had was on Thursday night. My friend had the demo only and couldn't connect to games, but downloaded the full version and it worked fine. Sort of a catch 22 - you can't play the game unless you buy it, and you won't buy it unless you play it first.
  12. Battlefield 1943

I downloaded it a couple nights ago and couldn't play it due to the general server shennanigans, but played last night and had a blast. I loved Battlefield 1942 for the PC, and this works way better for me because I don't have to worry about system requirements or anything. It still has the crazy, chaotic BF 1942 feeling, but more streamlined. Also you can blow up trees.
  13. Mass Effect 2

I played through a few hours of Mass Effect, but lost interest when I kept getting my ass kicked by the blue chick's mom. (I really can't remember her name.) Hopefully this one will be a bit more interesting this time around, something that can actually keep my attention for more than a few minutes.
  14. Awesome, I was too young to play any of these games the first time around, so I'm looking forward to picking them up. Any recommendations for a total adventure newbie?
  15. Awesome podcast... (only one episode so far)

Oh my, the guys from "Look Around You"? So, a lot of dry (slightly lame), British humor? I'll have to listen to it before I pass final judgments, though.
