  1. Who you gonna call?

    Now with frisbees!
  2. Life

Actually I think that is really interesting and I'm curious as to how you're preparing to teach something like that. Do you have experience teaching game design? Where are you teaching? (If you don't mind me asking...)
  3. If you're under 18, gaming is about to suck for you

Maybe things will get cut out of the game in development, or MAYBE they'll get edited afterwards, hopefully with better treatment
  4. Who you gonna call?

Wondering if a game can be considered the day's big release? Ask yourself one thing Does it have ghosts? Additionally, anybody who gets the GB game for the 360 should totally shoot me a friend request (GT is also Shakesbeard) so that we can feel good, whilst bustin'.
  5. I don't have an iPhone so I don't know how functional or precise the little d-pad/buttons are but if they work alright then Treasure games are my only answer. Okay this too, MBM was always great fun
  6. Who you gonna call?

It is indeed out, and I've been playing it (on 360), and it is rad. Trapping your first sweet ghost is a feeling I've been waiting for since I was a kid playing GB with a friend, throwing his little plastic trap around his rec room and yelling about protonic reversals. The Ghostbusters game also has crazy awesome acheivments and the PKE meter is used to great effect to learn weaknessess of specific ghosts and collect cursed artifacts (which will appear in the firehouse after you collect them in the level). I really want to play some co-op, apparently on the 360 it's set up so that you just play portions of the campaign levels together, as opposed to the Wii which features full splitscreen campaign co-op. Finally, there are more references and nods to the various Ghostbusters franchises (the two movies, Extreme Ghostbusters, The Real Ghostbusters, etc) than you can shake a stick at, which is a treat for fans of the series. In closing, busting makes me feel good.
  7. 1-in-4 men in South Africa are rapists...

    Oh SNAP That was awesome.

  9. 1-in-4 men in South Africa are rapists...

I'm always kinda surprised by how casually people use the word rape, particularly when talking about video games (podcast included), to the point that now I don't really associate it with such a horrible act. Clearly we need a new "rape"...something more shocking or generally horrible. "I was playing Cod4 last night and I aborted like, twenty dudes at once" Yeah that could work.
  10. Brütal Legend overload...!

Last thing I heard about Brutal Legend was the horrible Activision bidness, which totally overshadowed this news which might be a rotten cherry on a shit sundae for Dio fans, but is great news for people that recognize Tim Curry as our one true savior.
  11. 1-in-4 men in South Africa are rapists...

Surveys like these and the attention and awareness they generate are essential in convincing the South African government that they can't ignore this issue any longer.
  12. Ahaha holy crap I love the time warp/dream sequence audio coming out of the steak clip. Nintendo: Top Ghosts for Everyone I think I was listening to the Giant Bombcast and they made a good point about the help feature, being that the difficulty in platformers is gradually scaled up over time and skipping over portions might be subtly depriving you of the skills you'll be needing later in the game. Personally I think it could go either way at this point, we don't really know much of anything in regards to implementation or whatever but I have to agree with Sloane, I have no problem with this. I don't care if we get more "crappy" casual games if it means more people play video games. I think that's a worthy cause. That being said, I would use Nintendo's Help feature all the time if it was accompanied by a snarky robotic voice.
  13. Favorite Kid's Book

Oh wow, the art reminds me of a cross between Tintin and The Goon, which is excellent. Has it ever been combined into a collected volume or should I start work on tracking down the individual books?
  14. ARhrrr - Augmented Reality Zombie Shooter

Haha, actually I was on the tech ninja website thinking up a witty retort when I realized the irony of what I was doing...ElMuerte, you're alllllll right. Okay seriously you've gotta be pulling my leg. That is too cool.
  15. ARhrrr - Augmented Reality Zombie Shooter

That's really awesome OssK, I'm curious as to what someone who actually knows what he's doing thinks. You are rad!
  16. ARhrrr - Augmented Reality Zombie Shooter

I want to see Games Workshop throw a giant pile of money at these people and make Warhammer/Blood Bowl/LOTR tabletop games with this tech. Ohhhh man now I'm sad I'll probably never see that...
  17. I remember having a demo disc with MGS on it back in the day, when all I had for my PS (only system) was FFVII and Tekken 3. I played it pretty much every day for at least a month. The music, atmosphere, and overall tone of that DEMO drew me in more than anything I'd played and anything I would play for years to come.
  18. Oh Fuck ! (©Yufster)

Hahaha that is glorious, I did not know about this show. Sucks that North America gets "take the money or KEEP PLAYING?!?!" trivia game shows one after another like it's the greatest thing ever while Japan gets amazing and ridiculous shit like that.
  19. Oh Fuck ! (©Yufster)

    Go on...

  21. Favorite Kid's Book

Oh HELL yes I still have my copy of Funny Bones from when I was a kid (I'm 23) and I plan on reading it to my kids some day, along with Le Petit Prince for french practice.
  22. [PROTOTYPE] In Stores Today!

You opinion is bad and you should feel bad! Just kidding. No worries ol' bean, I've been playing the game a lot and the ultraviolence might be making me a bit confrontational, but all the infestation purification through use of bodily transformation is no justification for my aggravation and damnation of your estimation without hesitation. god i need sleep...
  23. Sure, that's even better
  24. Chris - Ultimatenerdvoice/Old Man Haw/A Wizard Jake - Trumpet/Bird sounds Nick - John Q. video games (the normal one)
  25. Movie/TV recommendations

If you like the Venture Brothers you should definitely check out Jackson Publick's blog, it's got a lot of interesting production details and behind the scenes stories and such. (His real name is Cristopher McCulloch and he's the voice of Hank, the Monarch, and several others on top of being the creator, director and co-writer of the show)
