I tried that, too and ended up having 50% of my installed games in the favourite section. with the 360 and DS it's far easier though, I put away all the other stuff and only have 1 or 2 games easily available at a time. That way I managed to finally concentrate on a few games again, which I thought made them more enjoyable and also made me play through most of those (in case I didn't get bored with them at some point.) Right now I'm playing Halo Wars / Tenchu Z & GTA CW / Advance Wars DS My list for PC games is way too long though and I usually end up playing DoW2 / L4D / TF2 / SC / DOTA with friends anyway.

we have Carcassone + all non-fantasy expansions (wtf kind of idea was that anyway) Alhambra is pretty fun and similar, but not quite as good. Basically it feels like you can do less to influence the outcome outside of managing your own stuff. Bohnanza (http://boardgamegeek.com/boardgame/11) is pretty fun a short fun game everyone gets is Kniffel / Yathzee (http://boardgamegeek.com/boardgame/2243) I guess the most time I spent with with that kind of games is with BattleTech though. Still waiting for the Clan box which is supposed to be released this year so we can start a new campaign =D

We have a 42" Toshiba (556 something it's called) and 32" Samsung, I didn't ever notice any lag, but maybe I'm too slow

My last conversation with a "casual" went like this: (me) "I finally bought myself a DS" "Oh nice, got a flash card already?" "um no you know, I like to buy my games, so I don't need it right now" (although I might get it for ScummVM at some point but I didn't mention that because they wouldn't know what that is anyway) "why?" ... I paused and tried to explain how I like gaming and try to support it but as I talked I realized how I could be talking to the wall instead. Afterwards I got the feeling I was seen as the little naive child who didn't get the memo that everything is now free and only stoopids would actually PAY for something. A lot of conversations about gaming went that way with casuals, the last of that kind was a couple months ago, and I now actively try to avoid that topic with them.

playing coop is hilarious, and sometimes extremely hard. but it's so awesome when you are the last one alive and barely make it to the next checkpoint. has a similar feel to it as being that last guy in CS IMO

yeah the atmosphere was a huge factor in Super Metroid. But even if it doesn't have that kind of booster, it could still be great as a Generic Metroid.

I was disappointed with 3 and 4 as well. But I still play BattleTech to this day. MW2:Mercs was as good as it gets.

Sam&Max season 1 + BF'43 were already great arcade games also there is a new Bubble Bobble coming (called BB Neo IIRC), I hope they put a 4 player mode in. And don't forget about Serious Sam HD.

she's not much interested in those other 2 series. I think they did one about the vegas based one? (+ a new one which was just announced I think) there is one miami based one, she has that one already though.

I got it last week on XBLA, didn't get the achievement either at first, but the solution can be found on the official forums. Obviously you can "win" by using different approaches (although the endresult is the same) but not all count towards the achievement. The game surprised me, and very positively at that. First, the series episode concept totally works for me. It's like I bought a tv series season on dvd, just as a game. I really like how the game's episodes are written around that concept. I can see this working for a lot of different stuff, and if you someday decide to make episodal CSI:Miama games you'd even get some dollars from my gf I guess Second, the humor: it's been a long time I played a game that funny, has to be since DOTT. I know lots of people find that kind of humor annoying, or just not funny but my crazy kind of humor totally fits with this, even though some of the more complex english phrases are beyond my understanding (and I'm usually to lazy to look it up when I'm not sitting at a pc) I think the writing in general is pretty good and the puzzles are mostly logical. In fact so far (I'm at the beginning of ep5) I only twice didn't know what to do and both times I just didn't find that only little thing to click on, for whose there also was no incidication where they could be. I'm definitely getting more Sam&Max, W&G & ToMI once they arrive on XBLA. I just hope the price stays, contrary to that single W&G episode on there. Oh yeah and most of the music is fantastic!

I really, really liked what Passage did. I think it belongs on that list, too.
