Yeah... But in truth, appart from word how do you represent the unthinkable, unimaginable unpicturable that cannot be seen cannot be described and so on and so forth... That's probably why a lot of Lovecraft's mythos can hardly be moved to other supports... Except maybe to munchkin games... -
Survival that is, havn't really seen horror yet.

not fun to play not fun to watch... verdict is not fun.

It's not the missing link, there was no such thing as an evolution of J Allard he was touched by our lord who said "and thou shalt fuck them all in the asst with thou consolst for satan luciferum diabolicum ist tryingst tost bringst teh y3ar of teh PS3 onto thine world...st." and so J Allard came and brought forth the Xbox. Fear not my brother for they Idlethumbers have been found guilty of practicing with the Photoshop they have! Burn the switch!

Maybe some of you might want to have a look at that if you haven't already. If it has nothing to do with nothing and does not interest anybody I guess I'll just go away and die :°) But I won't go to hell. I did not know at all that Halo 3 sold so well... ESA_EF_2008.pdf

My interpretation would be that thankfuly, this is not something we know.

Yes it is, no it's not. I gave the example of Wow, you could give the wii or a thousand others but point is: you give people something they never played with and is sweet, they'll go along with it. Don't need tp follow the trend or the market, just do things, fuck what's working, progress is all about that. Which is something most people don't get. "just do the same as them or them, innovation not cost effective enough." Fuck you !

The actual IQ test is pretty accurate, as long as you don't train for it, it's like the narrative structure of epic poems, it does work as long as you don't plan it in advance Funny thing, I ran into the girl at a break that gave me this interview I talked about, and she looked shocked to see me, so we talked a little and I learned that someone with really better qualification than me had been hired at that post that I was applying for, so I went to check what was the guy's résumé, and no, office was empty, nobody got hired a friend told me... So she just turned me down because she didn't liked my face... Sure thing HR is a neat post, you just play around with people's lives as you like... hard.

Yes, surely.... as long as you don't get stuck in today's standards

Tried the multi, well, it's quite sweet to be franck, I wasn't expecting that. Note: why the fuck are these controls so better in multi ? I noticed the same thing and could not understand why... So as controls are basically rules, my position here is two rules two games: the multi is really different... Cause you get rewarded for getting close from the enemies as they don't respawn forever, cause the enemies are really dynamic and cause tactic is something else than remembreing where the enemies are each time you die. Definitely, KZ2 is a better game in multi and would justify a 7 out of 10, but would surely loose 1 or 2 points for the single player experience to which I came back to to check on the controls and is surely shittier. But what's up with "maximum realism to some absurd point sometimes but... I don't know why the grenades leave a huge white trace"

Actually it would scare anyone that hasn't got a little context I guess... "This game will make you question god" GameKunt.com

Yep, that's not what BLizzard did and look how it turned out... Them and their 12 million players... In fact if you make an MMO you just need to be sure to translate it in german. Why? Because kids in germany finish school at 1pm most of the time and have the whole afternoon free say... For sports. And the parents come back from work around 7pm so... Guees what, you can have kids at home for a whole 6hours a day and without any parents telling them to stop... Gaming addiction is really becoming a problem in germany, last stats I had 10% on 13 or younger spend more than 4h a day for more than 3 days a week. TO go back to the "useless documents" that just depends but we kind of learned to fear these documents nowdays: "Hey look!" says your boss "40% of people play action game, stop working on your strategy 4% and get on with the market" "oh and by the way, the hero'll have to be the chosen one."

Would you reset the poll so that people who changed their mind can vote for the new one ?

The whole point is that often in game some little off balanced things can ruin the whole experience. That does not happen in films or books, nor in theatre, that little off balanced thing is too small, but what makes games is their rules, all along from start to finish. So touch the rules, you touch the whole game, and that can be one parameter, it's so easy to ruin a game that your care is almost never enough to make it perfect.

Audience is the european gaming industry particularly the game designer it seems, the AFJV (french association of video games (jeux vidéo)) sent it to me namely and a few of my colleagues. Gamer is people who play video games, which means people who are equipped to play, as in "possible audience for a video game" be it casual or hardcore, or as I prefer it ludophiles and occasional players. Now if you have a idea of how to make a game that both love, please go ahead I'm sure it could get you a 2 million dollar budget if you can reconcile them •^.^•

Idle Thumbs 21: The Hypersonic Effect
OssK replied to Jake's topic in Idle Thumbs Episodes & Streams
Freeverse made a rip off called Hordes of Orcs out of tower defense which was cool but not really worth the price (25$ ?!), especially if you already have war3 and FT cause they can do better. But "LOL" seems to be more original, characters looks quite supah actually, hope it will be cool. Only problem there is it does look an awful lot like warcraft 3, almost to a copyright infringement point... Anyway, one thing is for sure, Hordes of Orcs had once thing going for it, and I'll let Brad Cook speak for me here: "As Hordes of Orcs proves, there’s a lot you can do with a portal..." - Brad Cook, Apple.com Although I am still wondering what he could have meant Maybe the trailer could help you understand, maybe not. http://www.freeverse.com/games/game/vplayer.php?id=7019 Now you can say you've seen it all. -
But to go back to the main subject using the last podcast and without using "rape" which might be shocking to some peeps around here: «This game will enslave and genocide you» As you can see, I'm making efforts not to shock anyone.
