  1. Fuck these games were awesome, you all suck for not speaking french, I wrote a killer review on that game... I'd been arrested for playing with uplink and not knowing it had real implications and I described the game, fuck I was so young when I wrote this... IGN would've never taken such a review of course, I did not mention any bikinis...
  2. The Beatles Game

To your brain you're not, you're getting in a very easy to setup environment the fake sensation that you achieved something and that something is virtual, I don't say it's Guitar Hero that is to blame, I say that is does participate in the whole "I can be a rock star without leaving my house" trend. You quite said it... 200'000 years ago, I'm not sure homo sapiens really moved straight away, in fact, between that apparition and the one of writing in ~4000 BC you'd have to think the went round the earth quite a couple times... But no, they spread some remained and are called... Africans, some left. That said, I was more talking about the very 4000BC-1800 period of History. Indeed... You have a wonderful way to play the douche with me The rise of life expectancy is directly linked to pretty much the whole industrial era existence and modernization, therefore, in a short-life expectancy country you would not be playing Guitar Hero It's definitely true that you are committing a huge fallacy, it is not in essence WANTING to make more efforts, it's just that efforts were tied to the reward, you want something ? You can't have something for nothing was my grandma's motto. This might be discussed but celebrity is a fact, not something to discuss, it is determined by the amount of people knowing you, therefore the concept of celebrities is not silly, it just is. Revering people for being famous could be but I don't really think I could escape it... That or the two of them... or a bit of one and more of the other...or the other way around.

  8. One of the many rules of web design: get the programmer to automate everything, including: Photos croping and scaling Text formating File Upload Otherwise you'll spend the next month on the phone with the client isn't that true ? "I don't understand, the photo occupied the whole sceen it destroyed to layout... WHY ?!"
  9. The OTHER Pirate Bay thread...

IT WAS ART ! It's just that nobody knew about it ! That's a funny thing it reminds me of the whole video games art art controversy, I guess when guys put red hands on the wall everybody was like "hrmf, hey, look, boby's playing with paint instead of raping his sister again... That kid's never gonna go anywhere in life..."
  10. Updated the spoiler tag.

Could be a nice signature "Playing : GTA 16 / GoW 8 / CoD 19 and I still see the spoiler tag in black" OMG I just inserted a societal critique of the game industry in a humorous remark, I'm so awesome !

  13. The Beatles Game

God, I'm sorry if it came across as an aggression, it was just me noticing something and explaining my point of view to the Peel, I'm as cool as can be
  14. The OTHER Pirate Bay thread...

Wrong, fire found no practical use until my ancestors pushed yours into it and got the patent for cooking. He also wiped his ass on the wall of the cave instead of doing it with his hand, you all owe me money for the invention of art.
  15. The OTHER Pirate Bay thread...

everything is everywhere, and we're so everloaded with stuff that if I was to spot a complete copy of my drawing, I'd just go "erf, someone had the idea before me, too bad, I'll get another one :)"
  16. The Beatles Game

Hmmm... I don't recall that people wanted stuff for nothing in the past, I see it as a zeitgeist shift: For the whole duration of human history you were what you had to be, that is to say as a vast majority of people were not nomadic in any way, they stayed where they were born and did what they could do. Bandits and Pirates always existed but they lived by that, by the fact that they were a minority, same thing for inventors and great mind, travelers and free thinkers, they were so few that in fact, you could tell anything about religion and it'd still have worked "hey the earth is flat" "well, I hardly know what the earth is, and the nearest town is 3 month from here, so yep, why not." Then after the renaissance, you could get the stats, life expectancy went up slowly, as people lived longer than 40, they could ask themselves why... Then I'll skip a bit cause I'm not teaching you anything and it's not a History class but basically, after WW2, people got pretty tired of being told what to do, and the massive exodus towards cities of the middle of the XIXe century got accentuated by transportations improvements and people started to want to be something else. We are the "follow your dreams" "if you try hard, anything can happen" and "with efforts you could be what YOU want to be" generation, sons of hippies and free thinkers but hey, in our countries this is now the majority. So I think and see that the logical suite of this is "I want to be anything but without efforts". Just look at everything happening around us, reallity-TV is the embodiment of this paradigm: people that just don't know anything about the slightest thing can be famous, have money, people that hardly know how to sing can be big stars (have you listened to Britney Spear's impro ?)... And don't even start on Paris Hilton... She just exists and people love her for that... And ads ? "hey, take a pill and grow your dick, get thin and strong and intelligent and last longer in bed and eat and shit at the same time, with just one pill !!!"... The whole world is about having everything for nothing, and I think Guitar Hero is just that, it gives you the impression to be a rock star for a little bit of money and no efforts. To me that is exactly what the Guitar Hero generation is: I want it all, do you deliver ?

Safari FF Camino and Opera all say it's black on my mac...
  18. The Beatles Game

Well, you know, that's what Bill Maher coined as the Guitar Hero generation, people want to be rock stars but don't want to learn the chord, trust me, you get any kitchen instrument for the drummer and a guitar, it's so fucking easy to play the Beatles songs (and way more rewarding although I liked playing GH), and if you're not musicians you'll laught so hard you'll shit socks for a few days (IGN.com)
  19. The OTHER Pirate Bay thread...

That's true, I'm sure the PB guys have many more things to do to earn the money they will have to pay after the trial...
  20. The OTHER Pirate Bay thread...

I guess it depends on you point of view :°) For him it just meant that he knew the subject and was better suited for the job than any other judge in Sweden ;P
  21. Kinetic typography in games

Yeah, We Are Your Friend was a cool song though that did eclipse the video in a sense, it was in rivalry with Jame's Blunt Live performance at the KoKo of Goodbye my Lover for the "Most tears and crying voice poured into the making of a song" title... Neil Young must be so jealous... By the way, your remark is so fucking accurate on the whole fucking Stress controversy... God I hated Justice so much for putting up that video... The song is utter excrement to me and the video is the only thing that would've had me talk about it.
  22. I shouldn't be posting this shit

Also "The wiizaaaard" 4 countries ? I know of Denmark and Dominican republic the rest I do not know of can not exist (might be because I'm all powerful and shit and can make you choose Kiwi... Or Kaki if you had a bit more culture... You moronic humans).

What browser are you using brother Bowser ?
  24. Yep, saw the vids, he does seem like he's missing the only thing a genius needs: humility... "Yeah, see, my tools are fucking awesome, I just made it all by myself and other people suck dicks cause they are 200 and can't make a better product and blablabla, and even an artist could understad that concept." He also seems to be comparing his tools to what we used something like 10 years ago... Instead of what is used today in the industry... Chinese proverb of the day "An intelligent fuckbag is intelligent indeed, but nonetheless a fuckbag"
  25. I shouldn't be posting this shit

Indeed, australia is pretty neat to go guess
