I tried the demo just now and it is what I expected it to be. I simply loved it. I have played the Sam & Max episodic games from Telltale and I knew Wallace & Gromit would be a great addition to Telltale's style of games. It just fits in perfectly. On a side note, I saw some people bitching on gametrailers.com about how Wallace's voice actor is different from the original claymation cartoons. Personally, I didn't notice a difference and I would like to think that it was the same voice actor. But who cares? Also I don't know if this is only in the demo, but I liked the "Yes!" button on the messages that pop up explaining the situation, giving objectives or hints etc. I feel it's a nice change from the dreary old "OK" or just nothing at all. It's a tiny thing in the whole game, most people wouldn't even notice it, but I like it. I noticed that the trailer announced four titles. So I presume four episodes released each month starting March. That's awesome.

It is on alternate Sundays at 3PM EST. We are scheduled to play this Sunday if everything works out as planned. I have friended you on steam, but that's not enough. Is your BC2 game ID the same as well? You need to have one of us in your friends list there, to be able to join a game. Also post your skype ID if you have one, since we use skype for communication instead of the ingame voice/chat.

Clantag is Thumbs. I'll see if I can dig up the names of people I have on my list and edit the first post later.

Even the retail or non-steam version have the auto-updater built in. So when you launch the game, the update application runs first and then depending on whether an update is available it proceeds to launching the game. Disclaimer: I am completely basing this on my experience of running the non-steam beta.

Cool. You should know that we play on alternate Sundays at 3pm EST. This Sunday we'll be playing BC2 if the servers don't go down again. I believe you have BC2 as well. Hope to see you there!

I might not be the best judge for yesterday's game considering I was disconnected at least three times. Still I agree, it has come to the point that teams should really be fixed beforehand. I kinda wish there was some sort of ingame rating for each player which Valve could use to organize teams properly. But then again, how would one rate a person's ability to play L4D? In any case, since most of us are familiar with each other, we should be decent judges of everyone's relative "skill". Setting up a team then, shouldn't be much of a hassle unless someone were to protest being forcibly dumped into one. Being on skype for all of yesterday's match was a bit surreal. I mean all this while I have been playing L4D and L4D2 avoiding alltalk servers like the plague. But as you put it Armchair, amongst friends it was quite amusing and in a way brought new life to the game. So... Yes. And yes.

Somebody post pics please.

I am in the same boat, though I have played it for 0.2hrs according to my steam stats.

So apparently Ubisoft has sent out emails to AC2 owners offering them free addons or games for all the downtime with their servers. Essentially a peace offering... My question to Ubisoft, where is MY EMAIL?!?! Not that I care about those free games (a choice of Prince of Persia or HAWX), but I demand compensation.

The Idle Thumbs Podcast Episode 4: Super Expert Pro
Scratch replied to Jake's topic in Idle Thumbs Episodes & Streams
Ah sweet I was hoping someone would dig them up. -
So things didn't go well last night I presume. I had to finish up assignments for class next morning, so I couldn't make it. Looks like I didn't miss much.

I am skratche and most of us just use our steam names to make things easier. I seem to have lost all of friend's list again and sending out invites hasn't worked so far.

Yes it is going to be BF2 this Sunday. Though I feel I'm going to be horribly under-leveled compared to some of you guys.
-
I don't know if you have given this a try yet, but have you tested out your specs on the system requirements website? http://www.systemrequirementslab.com/referrer/srl I know they aren't completely accurate but you get a pretty good idea of whether it would play at all. Most of us are on the PC and only a select few have expressed their opinion on playing it on either PS3 or 360.

So rarely we even see spam on idle forums.

Just posting to say that unless original plans have changed, we'll be playing L4D2 tonight and not BFBC2.
-
I believe it starts out in Episode 23.

A new multiplayer game (for the times when left for lobby gets too much)

If we end up setting up a thumbs server I could put in teamspeak on it if we wanted to. -
I have updated the first post with details. I wish I had time to play any game at all during weekdays. My daily commute kills all the time from class to home. Meanwhile my pile of unfinished games grows higher.
-
Anyway I am just going to say it right now so nobody gets confused later... Next Sunday is Left 4 Thumbs night, so don't come in expecting a battlethumbs game. Of course unofficial thumbs/non-thumbs games will happen all week long as usual.
-
Yes we did but we lost sleepdance and korax about halfway through.
-
Well we had to choose alternate Sundays for L4D2 and BC2, due conflicting personal schedules. I have no idea why DoW2 also happens to be on Sunday. I thought it was a Saturdays thing. Besides, some of us managed to squeeze in both L4D2 and BC2 yesterday.
-
A good game tonight. Shame I had come in to replace Sleepdance who presumably lost connection due to power outage.

Nevermind Wokkels, who the fuck is this other Black Vase or Buck Case or whatever guy, who's been following us around using the THUMBS tag.

Battlethumbs: WAR! What is it good for..absolutely THUMBS

Uh, this did not need a new thread.
