Huh? I just preordered the CE for PC from my local retailer just yesterday without a problem. As for DRM, it's steamworks. The whole deal with steam achievements etc.

Aw great, I got it too. I was away at the time, so only saw it an hour later. At first, I was like "Wow, Remo Messaged me?!?" Clicking on the link brought me to this obvious phishing site. Anyway, folks on Remo's friend's list be warned I guess.

I just bought it, haven't played it yet. I didn't realize that steam was offering the first game free and so now I have two copies of the first one. If anyone would like to have a steam version of the special edition of the first game, post a reply and I'll gift it to you.

I was really excited to finally play this game when I bought it during the recent steam sale. But it crashes every time after the second level. With all the other games on my plate right now I've given up on it.

Yes I know the thread title doesn't make sense, but neither does the game title. I thought we should direct more L4D2 related match organizations and post/pre game discussions into a separate thread. So here it is. I presume there will be some sort of unorganized event tomorrow; that is if the servers don't get flooded. I probably won't play the game until friday evening. Though I would definitely be there on Sunday.

Always wanted to play Cryostasis, so will buy that for $4. I am thinking of getting Alpha Protocol as well, but the price right now doesn't seem that enticing. As for Bionic Commando, if the price drops below $20 in the next few days, I will buy that as well and then we can play this "multiplayer" PiratePoo seems so fond of.

Happened to me on the PS3 after the update. I noticed that the "sinking" bug would happen only when riding on a horse after a certain distance. Tried fast traveling and using other means of transportation to complete a mission; and it worked fine. But everytime I used a horse and went beyond a certain invisible limit, it would sink into the world and glitch out. Googling the patch, suggested that it had fixed the supposedly bugged bounty quest of Mo Van Barr in Armadillo. I just fast-traveled to Armadillo and took on the bounty quest. Then fast-traveled again to the McFarlane Ranch, walked/ran to the bounty location and completed the quest. Completing that quest gave me some outfit and the glitch hasn't happened again so far. I am not entirely sure if completing that quest resolved the issue or if it was something else I did. But I think it's worth a try.

Just played a couple public games in L4D2 and my ping still seems to be fluctuating like mad. If I start lagging mid-game again tonight, I'll drop out so as not to spoil your fun like last week.

Sure, I am up for it. Thing is I don't know if most of us will have it installed ahead of time.

Join the steam group. The calendar on there is usually updated with the appropriate times and dates for most regular events (not just PC, even console ones). If you're looking to join in on some PC action, I'd suggest friending one of the regulars from Left4Thumbs or Bad Company 2 thread. EDIT: A minute too slow than Patters and explained in better detail.

I can't tell if that's supposed to be sarcasm or a real suggestion. Honestly, I don't want to play a RTS in multiplayer on a regular basis.

I don't think there is anything new coming out multiplayer wise. There's Medal of Honor which is coming out in October. I think the multiplayer in that game is being done by DICE which could be interesting. Other than that I can't really think of anything.

I have had my 3GS for about a year now and even so, I will most likely be getting the new iPhone without a second thought. I wish there was some sort of a trade-in or upgrade program though that would reduce the price or something. I still have my iPhone 3G, so in the end I will have three iPhones.

Sadly enough I never played Deus Ex so I have no opinion. But the trailer/teaser looked alright.

Forgive my ignorance, but I missed out on who Fuzzy Lobster is, possibly when skype dropped me from the conversation. I would really love to do L4D1 again. Even though we can easily point out the numerous flaws that they fixed in L4D2, it still is much more exciting and enjoyable. Also as sleepdance said, long awaited "I hate Mountains" mod is out. I think we should give that a go sometime.
