There's always next sunday. Though that would most likely be our last L4D game. Most of us will be moving onto L4D2 after that.
-
Shilling is on the forums. He goes by the name "DanJW". I might be wrong though.

^^That must have been the expert campaign game right? We had another versus game going, but it got filled pretty fast with mostly friends of other folks, who unfortunately we couldn't kick. Apologies to the regulars who missed out on the versus game.

I finally had the time to play some over the weekend. I could not honestly put it down. Played about 8 hrs straight, until sleep took over. I have been itching to get back to it ever since. It's a shame really that I can only make time for it during the weekends. Still I have one more day to go. Planning on playing it all night, that is if my GF lets me.

Just a FYI. L4D2 preload is a go. So get it ready next time you start up steam.

Things were much better when the game was still new. I remember having fun playing with the general public then. * Nowadays the public is comprised of either the super hardcore "experts" or the fairly new noobs. The "experts" are control freaks who expect you to do things in a specific manner and would quit in an instant should you not follow their every order. The newbies fall victim to these "experts" and us normal folk have to suffer through another shitty game. I am hoping things would change when L4D2 comes out and all of us become noobs again. Until ofcourse the cycle starts all over. Fortunately, I have the good folks from Thumbs to play with when the need arises. **

I understand how iron sights can be useful and I prefer having them as well. But judging whether or not to play a game based on it's inclusion of sights on weapons doesn't seem right.
-
Why would you really need iron sights in L4D? The weapons we have are quite sufficient to kill zombies. That's a really specific thing you're looking for in games. Do iron sights really matter that much?

Realism mode was one of the things I was looking forward in L4D2. It sounds even more hardcore now that we have the details. I doubt they would patch that into the first game considering how realism and scavenge are the two "advertised" new modes.

From the EA store. I don't usually buy stuff from them, but since I wanted to get the collector's edition and couldn't get a preorder from my local retailer, I didn't have a choice. On another note, I am not impressed by the quality of the cloth map. Guess I was expecting it to be more grandeur.

Just received my copy in the mail. Wasn't expecting it to be here a day earlier than the release date. :woohoo:Seeing this label on the package made me smile: I have never received anything before the street date. Wish I had the time to install and play it tonight though.

After what you said in the chat in Sunday's game, I decided to find your post and formally welcome you to the forums. You should look into the 'multiplayer networking' section and the 'Left4Thumbs' thread to find us regular L4Ders. Enjoy your stay!

Welcome to the forums mate. Most of us from the regular L4D games are around here somewhere. You'll see them pop around occasionally. Enjoy your stay.

The game would've been much more exciting had others not ragequitted, on account of bad ping/lag and such. Nevertheless, it was still a fun game. Also, never fun to play versus with even a single bot. They seem to have a mind of their own. Wandering around wherever and whenever they please.

The WizaaaaaaAAAaaaAArd (Wizard101 MMO username exchange)
Scratch replied to OssK's topic in Multiplayer Networking
Am I the only one lost here? Or is this an exclusive club for "Wizards" only? Jokes aside, what exactly is this? -
Played on normal with James, ysbreker and Pirate Poo. First impressions: looks great and I love the music. Still not feeling the melee weapons so much. Seems like a hit and miss most times. Though I should say, I was using a Guitar as opposed to a machete. Didn't get to test out everything in it though. Really wanted to give the defibrillator a try. Want to give a go on expert, just for comparison's sake as normal seemed almost too easy. Also, I was hoping the realism mode would be in the demo. I wanted to see just how much harder is it than expert.
-
Wow, isn't this just great. Demo's been delayed another hour.
-
I didn't have to re-preload it after the new client install. Hopefully, it stays that way and doesn't tell me to preload again at the last minute. I was seriously considering staying up all night to play the damn thing, but am glad that I decided against it. Also, Valve time.
-
I don't mind either way. I like that fact that we could have two complete games in one night. I guess it's matter of particular timezones. In my case, it's totally fine, doesn't change much since it happens to be in the afternoon.
-
Apparently someone has scheduled it for 10 this Sunday. It's five past 9 right now, and I don't see the usual group of people, so I presume it's 10pm tonight.
-
I have next week off from school and I just quit my part time job, so all I'll be doing is playing the shit out of the demo. If you see me playing during the week, don't hesitate to join in the fun.
-
That looks absolutely amazing. I wonder if the bombing run would be an actual gameplay event. Now that would be epic.
-
The demo for L4D2 for those who preordered comes out on the 27th. That means 3 Sundays after that comes the real deal. AFAIK it has only a campaign map and no versus one. Still can't wait to get my hands on it.

And to think, COD started out being a PC exclusive. I am positive Activision is pretty much forcing IW into doing this.
