I was a big fan of the first one. To me, it's that sort of perfect simplicity that makes Tetris so great, even more than a million 20 years later. I was really excited for the sequel, but wasn't expecting much for some reason. I figured it'd either be the same game with different enemies and a graphical upgrade or something akin to Galaxies-lite. As I'm wondering where the hours have gone, I'm glad to say Bizarre proved me dead wrong. Like Tommy said, all the modes are just great. I love how they took the basic idea of the game and completely changed it for Pacifism and King. The leaderboard stuff is just brilliant, of course. I was going back and forth with a friend of mine, we'd try to beat each other's scores and then talk trash over AIM...good times. Though I have to wonder what the psychological effect could be if you're not so good at the game, to have someone else's super-high score in the corner mocking you. I know you can turn it off and everything, but still, it's something that I've been thinking about. Well, when I'm not cursing out those swirling purple things.

Thanks for the welcome, guys! Miffy, I always get sort of nervous posting on boards. I like to read everyone else's thoughts but a lot of the time, my thoughts have already been typed up by someone else, so it feels a bit pointless for me to just say "Hey, me too!" Or, those are just my own weird, neurotic quirks.. And no, I'm not selling any WoW gold or sneakers, but I did go to my first ipods Motorcycle Rodeo last week!

Howdy. I've been lurking for a while and I suppose I've finally mustered up the courage to say hi. I'm not nearly as clever or sarcastic as everyone else seems to be, but hopefully I can blend in with the masses unnoticed... I guess I'm pretty well-rounded as a gamer, I love the AAA titles (GTAIV, CoD4, Nintendo 1st-party junk) as well as the artsy stuff (BG&E, Everyday Shooter, etc.) And boy, do I love those plastic instrument games, though if it's not Harmonix, it's probably not worth playing for me. I also study cinema, though it's all on my own; watching films, reading books and essays, analyzing...and so forth. My favorites list has everything from Tarkovsky, Bergman, Herzog, to Fincher, Pixar, Gondry...I love just about anything that I can feel a connection to. But, that's enough off the topic, anyhow.
