  1. World of Goo

It seems that you can no longer buy it from steam in the UK. They spotted their mistake and removed it. I wonder if they'll take it off my account?
  2. World of Goo

How very strange! I bought it on steam two nights ago!
  3. WipEout HD

I'm an Icarus pilot most of the time. Its as fast as the Pirahna, but handles nearly as well as the Assegai. Accelerates poorly though.
  4. PLAYSTATION®3

I did suspect you on the previous post as well, but took it at face value
  5. The dunwich horror, for instance, is invisible mostly!
  6. PLAYSTATION®3

Now I can be fairly subtle sometimes when taking the piss, but you really have lost me there
  7. PLAYSTATION®3

Do you mean is there any stuttering when the helicopter is not involved? No.
  8. Del Toro has apparently written a screenplay for this...but Warner Bros. are cagey about funding it, as there's no love interest and no happy ending.
  9. PLAYSTATION®3

Some friends gave me Planet Earth on Blu-Ray for my birthday. The quality is staggering - it appears better than HD-DVD. However, I do have one bug-bear with the playstation BR player...when there is a panning shot, or a helicopter flying between two peaks and the mountain range behind it opening up, there is a tiny bit of frame stutter...almost like it drops from 24FPS to 22 or 23. I think the PS3 is just not capable of chucking the data at the TV fast enough. It happens very rarely, although is a little disappointing.

Yay! That's great news! It gets pretty hard pretty quickly though...some of the speed laps, not only do you have to hit every speed pad, but you have to get racing line AND barrel roll whenever possible to get gold. It makes you sit there until you do it though, the mark of a great game

    Ya fockin' dick'eaaaaaaad. Mint.

Sorry, I think you might have got the wrong of the stick. It is crap. You didn't find it in the least bit amusing? Pigeon chesting around like he was an MC that mattered? His studio mate who was some making noises out of a mixing desk connected to a sub with a telephone attachment? Sorry for going OT.
  13. PLAYSTATION®3

I really enjoyed Drake - which suprised me. It's quite short, but enjoyable. MGS - you will like if you've loved the others. Wipeout:HD - Ace. The Last Guy - good fun. Tekken 5: Dark resurrection - online tekken - 'nuff said.
  14. WiC did that, and it was good for a while, but got tiresome after a weekend. It was good fun while it lasted though, don't get me wrong! I did have high hopes for endwar, but I don't think I'll be buying the full game.
  15. Send us questions!

What are you on about? It's funny as. They're talentless idiots making junk, thinking they are the don. "Hold on, it's missing a hookline...BASELINE!"

'Donk' - haha, that reminds me of these I'd like to hear your views on the prevalence of 'Betas' these days? Has anyone noticed this? You get access to the 'Beta' if you pre-order the game, or if you're lucky enough to be hanging around one of the numerous game sites when the 'Beta' keys are distributed. Why can't they call them what they are - demos. Is it to make them sound more exclusive for those loyal consumers who have pre-ordered the game? They come out often a week to two weeks before the game comes out in the shops (i.e. it's already gone gold and been pressed), so there's no bug fixing going on there!
  17. World of Goo

    Utterly charming.
  18. World of Goo

Well, I've just been speaking to some folk on Vent, and they said it's good fun too. So between them and you lot, I've just bought it. Downloading now...
  19. Tekken 6 for 360

More to the point T5-DR has online play, with a really nice lobby experience, and you get to watch other folk battle.
  20. I've stopped buying games for exactly the reason that I don't finish many games - as I get bored with them. I think very hard about which ones I buy, and there are only a few games I'm interested in in the near future - Left 4 Dead, Endwar, Mirror's Edge... but will prolly only end up playing L4D for any length of time. I'm not sure why I no longer care about games as much -guess I'm a little bit sick of the endless repetition on styles/genres. I have a friend who is salivation about Gears 2 - and I can kind of see why, it looks quite exciting, but the thought of buying it and spending a few hours on it fills me with horror. Can I be growing up at last? It's taken 33 years! lol.
  21. I'd forgotten about this - in fact, I'd forgotten about portal completely. What a Thursday morning pressie! http://www.portalprelude.com/ ...and for those who missed it first time round back in July, here's a link to Portal: The Flash Version mappack. Enjoy!
  22. Site Question

Something that I've always wondered about on this site - why do I have to press the edit button twice in order to edit my post? Is it just me?
  23. Hm. I'm tempted, but also a bit worried I'll be stuck there on a limb on my own in a field of gamers.
  24. Will there be anything going on the evening the 28th? I could try and blag work so I would be 'urgently required in london' - but as a result I would have to sit in the office until 5 ish.
  25. VIDEO GAMES

It can also be used by girfriend's parents as a replacement for fuck. [Northern]"What the Chooffin' 'ell's goin' on?"[/northern]
