Snippette of a factoid - there was a games software company in Leeds called Mobius, who once upon a time sold out to Rockstar. My g/f at the time got a temp job there as a secretary, as one of the lad's partner was going to do that job, but she was up the stick. Anyhow, I got a phone call from her one evening to invite me down to the local pub in Pudsey, to say that there was some rink going on. So I went down and met Gordon, who, *that very day* had become a multi-millionaire. There was lots of free drinks.

What don't you like about them? I've tried to play the WoW and WAR - and packed them in within a matter of weeks - got bored with the grind - sure the spell chase was good for a while, but ultimately disappointing. I kind of want to like them - in fact I've started playing EVE this week, and so far I'm liking it. It's a lot more relaxing that the other kinds, mainly because you can 'level' without having to be logged in. That, and death kind of means something.

I had this a while back. Take it to bits and blow the dust out of the heat sink. It makes a massive difference! Make sure you have some arctic silver about though!

EG gave it 10 out of 10. I'm tempted, although not purely because of the score, but it does indeed sound a very good game.

I remember an interview with Bullfrog about a bit in Syndicate Wars, where you could give your agents a flamethrower. They said you could set a mother and her baby in a pushchair on fire, and the pushchair would roll off down the street in flames while the mother cooked seperately. They elected to take that out in the end (or someone told them to more like). Shame. Brkl - I've not heard of Starbreeze before, so that's a bit more reassuring that they are rated.

Warhawk is actually suprisingly good fun. Really arcade-y...and don't whatever you do, expect to survive long in the aircraft.

Hmm, that's food for thought. My LCD is 2 years old now, 720p Samsung screen. I've never seen it before on that - although that's not to say it can't be that. I hope it is, in a way.
