So they haven't sorted the AI? I remember being put off it when I saw a video a few months ago, and a programmer was demonstrating the comabt system...and the enemies did exactly what you said above Cigol - Ran towards you, the geezer shot them in the arm, they backed off a bit, then came at you again, ready for a shotgun to the face. Poor.

What does a British Advisor do? Tea-making tips?

EG have had some positive things to say about this. I think I'm going to get it - it will be the first for me since TR1. Also the first 360 game I have bought since CoD4.

I have a few problems with depth perception. Will this game get irritating?

http://www.guardian.co.uk/technology/gamesblog/2008/oct/24/casualgaming Sounds as though it could be interesting - anyone tried it to see if the game mechanics actually make it fun?

The items seem similar to Kingdon of Loathing. Not that that's a bad thing of course.

I have learned that I am not alone!

On metacritic they get 88. The reader reviews give it an average of 6.5 :/ Kind of what I would give it really.

...and this starts tonight... Dead Set big-brother-contestant-eating zombies, charlie brooker...what more do you need?

I saw Taken last night. It's blimmin good - if you like the Bourne Supremacy, then you'll be into this. Pacy, fulfills your desire to visit revenge on parties, classic 'expert in security matters' rambo-ing about. A few things bugged me about it though... Otherwise really enjoyed it.

While I generally find myself at odds with the constant regurgitation of ideas within the entertainment industry, this is one that I'm kind of looking forward to. http://www.computerandvideo games.com/article.php?id=199521 So it's not definite yet. But could still be good...

Apologies Toblix, I was under the impression you had finished the game. I hope I didn't spoil it too much...

while I don't know you or the games industry, I can sympathise, and hope you get your enthusiasm back soon. Companies have a special ability to break your spirit.

I learned that Michel Focault, for whom I have respect as a thinker, was a very great fan of the post-modernist Gilles Deleuze. From my viewpoint Deleuze went out of his way to make his prose as unclear as possible. Focault thought that the last century should be Deleuzian. Shame.

Tell me if you get bored of it. It looked kind of fun, but only for 1/2 hour.

I think so.

Which is exactly what happened with Galaxies. At first it was hard to get the holocrons in order to train the jedi skillzzzz. Then they did a massive overhaul, and actually included a jedi as one of the classes to roll when you start the game. What was a fairly sub-standard MMO became fucking awful.

To be fair though, back on my parent's old 286 (12Mhz! 1Mb RAM! 40Mb HDD!), DOS fuckery to get games working was kind of fun. Gave me a great head start in computers at any rate.
