Grapevine Fires by Death Cab for Cutie. Can't get it out. This is a *good* thing, contrary to songs that normally stick in your head
-
Was just wondering, 'cause I would buy it for you and ship it over if you wanted.
-
Amazon have got 3 copies - but it's 61 quid. You sure you want it?
-
I hope everyone is getting it on PS3!

Right you lot, I need a recommendation for a game.

I remember being really impressed with the 'skill stick' business on the demo. It was bloody hard to score though, which makes it more pleasing when you do! -
Have they unlocked the difficulty for Versus mode yet?

Well I traded in a load of old games, and they came to more than I thought! 73 quid! So I got NHL 09 and Grid, and it didn't cost me anything! (Well...2 pounds. Feh.) -
So, as you may or may not know (or care) BT have shown me the door. I've gained a lot of experience in network security testing, web site/web application testing and computer forensics as well as computer threat and risk assessment in a commercial environment. Have security clearance, plus professional security qualifications.

That looks a bloody cold place to live!

...and I've just listened to ThumbsCast #17, where they were going on about NHL 09. I played the demo and really liked it, but was still not sure about it, so reckon I might go and buy this this evening. I don't understand Ice Hockey though. -
Please give me a job: Network/Web-app security testing
Scrobbs replied to Scrobbs's topic in Idle Banter
Thank you It depends on the role - a lot of it can be done remotely, unless the client wants the internal network testing. I could relocate temporarily -
I couldn't listen to this. Chris from Wired's voice really grated on me. I had to turn it off. Apologies.

Live action short of the story arc in HL2. It is blimmin' good. HD version of part 1:

See, I'm more likely to go for the PS3 version. I'm really starting to dislike the 360 for some reason, and am disinclined to buy more games for it - and that's going to really piss my best mate off who has a 360 only. -
My actual hometown site is pretty crap. Shrewsbury, Shropshire although it is fairly easy on the eye. I was about to list all the other places called Shrewsbury that I could find, but I see that Shrewsbury CC have done it for me! Well done them! http://www.shrewsbury.gov.uk/public/leisure/othershrewsburys.htm There was talk of when we were younger mons of making a pilgrimage to all the other Shrewsburies would could find. the thought of a bunch of pissed English yokels roaming around North America visting Shrewsburies always made us laugh. We never had the cash though. Maybe in now we're all working...

Well I've been thinking about Flower for a while, and I got that last night. It's a very pleasant diversion. By all accounts it's not very long, so I might end up with another soon! I am really tempted by SFIV, because, as you say, it's a bit different to the others. -

I don't think I will be doing the couch tour, no. I just wanted to tell someone, as I've been asked to not talk about it at work and couldn't find the other thread. Sorry.

I've just been given notice of my notice. Looks like I will be joining the ranks of the jobless!

I heard today that Activision have posted a loss of $72 million. This is including Blizzard's astonishing contribution of nearly $1 billion. It doesn't seem as if the company is very happy!

EG seem suitably impressed. http://www.eurogamer.net/articles/street-fighter-iv-review

Has anyone noticed in Fieldrunners that the slightly harder guys look like the red heavy and the weaker guys look like the red soldier from TF2? Is this co-incidental or deliberate homage.

This sounds interesting. Is there any general write up about why they came to be known as dodgy? Or is it just industry canon?
