This used to be my favourite game hands down, but it became less fun after OF, and I just got sick of all the bugs, so stopped playing after 2.301. I saw there was a new patch out that's been well recieved by players, so I thought I'd give it another go. The fun has returned! (or so it seems). So! Come and play CoH with me!

Turtling never works with CoH. It leads to death. Always. This is what set it apart from pretty much every other RTS. P.s. Wurtzi - if you fancy a game sometime, give me a shout. 'norfolknclue' is my main profile.

Why does the version of Worms currently out on XBLA suck? It has all the classic weapons, and looks like that vid up there. It doesn't have very many weapons unfortunately.

Hasn't it been out on XBLA for a year or two anyway? Or is that an old version?

I would say that the Baroque cycle from Stephenson skirts the steampunk arena. It's set a long time before the victorian period, but seems to embody steampunk's ethos somewhat with it's advances. There are references to steam driven databases in there. I presume you detest Gibson for 'The Difference Engine' then?

Two others have said it the same. There is nothing to add which won't sound...impossibly facile compared with that real world situation. I hardly know what to say. That's bad shit. I take living in a (relatively) free-press country for granted. That makes me feel like a heel. Are you wanting to leave or is it more complicated than that because of family? Would you say Iran is better, worse or similar? People who speak out about oppressive regimes in their own countries have my ultimate respect. I don't think I would have the balls. I would meekly toe the line. I am weak.

You're probably right. I didn't consider. I'm just looking up all the old stuff I used to watch and listen to - the Tales of Heroes from Bridger and Vittensby were favourite. The last one on itunes is dated in May though, so I hope they haven't stopped! [Edit] I didn't look at the year. May '08. I did see a few posts from a few folk on GameReplays and relicnews that have had lots of problems with 2.6 - that sucks. I remember once when I broke it, just after OF came out - I had a few unsuccessful re-installs until I got fed up, uninstalled it and went through the registry with a fine toothed comb and pulled out all the THQ/CoH references. It worked after that.
