  1. Rise of Flight - WW1 Flight sim

    They accidentally all the trajetory.
  2. Eurogamer Expo 2009

Looks like they've got two events on this year, Leeds and London. If anyone fancies going to the Leeds one, give me a shout. Could maybe, you know, hook up or something. Or not. Up to you.
  3. Rise of Flight - WW1 Flight sim

Response to someone asking the starting sequence for a Nieup 28: I hope they fix the trajetory physics.

This is why I stopped going to the cinema for ages. It got to the point where it seemed I was having an argument with other movie goers all the time. The last time, which was kind of the final nail in the coffin for me, one set of teenage girls were talking for ages. Then their phone rang. THEN they answered! So I stormed over and snatched the phone and told them to fuck off. Then they carried on after a while so I got an attendant, who to be fair, did sort them out. The film was already ruined, but at least the last hour was quiet.

Ah dude. I hope you find your way on that, nothing can fry your head like girls playing with your affections willy-nilly. It would be easy to say finish it and try to forget, but feelings are never so cut and dried. There's obviously something going on in her head. I hope for your sake she comes round to your point of view.
  6. Books, books, books...

Just starting The Great Gatsby. Looking forward to it.
  7. Eurogamer Expo 2009

I've never been to one either... Expo virgin.
  8. Life

It feels like a corner has been turned! I feel really positive about the future
  9. Life

Things got really bad at home with the Alzheimers thing with mum, (from Dad not understanding at all and shouting a lot, the campsite they run causing so much stress that she couldn't remember anything from one minute to the next). Dad fell out (as he is wont to do) with some long term friends who helped them out at the campsite, and my mum was about as upset as I've ever heard her. It was a hard decision to make for me to make, so I made it and acted on it. I went and picked her up and brought her to Leeds to stay with me for a couple of weeks, not telling dad until I was on the way. She enjoyed the trip, and her memory improved almost over night, her stress levels dropped; then dad came to Leeds to talk to her. I think it shocked him a bit. A lot. Then that evening, my girlfriend got a phone call that her last grandparent had just died - along with her sister (car crash), another grandparent (old age), her aunt's partner (botched hospital op) - 4th familial death this year. Then I nearly slipped a disc - this was my own fault, as I hadn't been doing the exercises I'd been given since the the last time it nearly happened. The one true shitter about this is that I can't sit down for long, which rules out finished the screaming narwhal, plus trying Dig, Loom, etc etc. This is nearly better now, but I've got to deal with the mild sciatic pain that started it. Sooooo...not been a fun two weeks, but it's nearly over now, I've just ordered a mac mini to try my hand at iphone dev., I have an interview for an Outreach worker for Learning disabled in the next week or so; other than my back which will clear up soon I still have my health, mum is a lot happier (as it turns out so far was a good thing to do. Scary, hard, but good.) Dad is a lot happier too it seems. They're talking about getting a house in Spain. Although it sounds a shitter, I'm still loving life - not working for 3 months has been a proper tonic. Should get a nice job soon - everyone's a winner!
  10. Tales of Monkey Island

I was unsure about buying this, especially since it was the whole lot - was just after buying the first ep if poss. However, I just read the EG review, and bought it. It did say the character models were a bit poor (I've only just passed the credits, so can't judge), but that the puzzles were up to scratch and that the humour was there too. Which is all that matters really - the window dressing I can put up with if the feel is there, which it seemed to be. So...purchased!
  11. They're called *Video Games*

Yeh I have to apologise. After I posted I thought that it was a bit tangental.
  12. They're called *Video Games*

'Alot' is curious. Never heard it before - is it just the compound word formed from 'a lot'?
  13. La Celle Splintereux: Conviçion

I wondered that too. Kind of inferred eh?
  14. iPhone/iTouch gaming

Drop7, Galcon, Trism, Geodefence and Aya Go

The Departed follows the plot nearly exactly from what I remember, although can't comment on angles as it's been some time since I saw the former. Infernal Affairs requires more thought from the viewer, as it's not made as clear, which I enjoyed more. The ending is different too, and there is a minor change with the involvement of the Psychiatrist. Check out Infernal Affairs.
  16. The OTHER Pirate Bay thread...

Very interesting... Would require effort to stymie worldwide newsgroups though. Still, an eye will be kept
  17. Movie/TV recommendations

I had high hopes for Tropic Thunder, but thought it a bit boring. Downey Jr was my fave character in that one, especially when he started accusing a black man of being racist, "What do you mean 'you people'?".

I was the same as you...thought Zoolander would be pish. Then I watched and became a Stiller fan.
  19. Movie/TV recommendations

My pleasure - I'd only just seen it myself, having only just found out about 9 the feature length, and gone looking for trailers. Everyone's a winner!
  20. Movie/TV recommendations

Maybe you're right. After watching the short, which I really liked, will Burton do it justice?

  22. Movie/TV recommendations

Just got round to watching Infernal Affairs. I liked it better than The Departed.
