  1. Infinity Ward - MW2 news

There's a dedicated server hack too! It's all adding up to them not releasing on PC next go round... I think PC sales made up 10% income from CoD4. They don't care.
  2. Infinity Ward - MW2 news

Well, I've just heard that apparently IWNet has been 'hacked' and you can now play the pirate version with everyone else. So they've ballsed that up then!
  3. Will Langdell choke to death on writs?

The thread title. It's phrased as a question
  4. EA drops new IP

This reflects more badly on us as consumers rather than them as producers I think. We (as in consumers) are too easily talked into buying the same old shit, so therefore they keep on pumping it out, as it's cheaper to produce (I imagine, with no real internal knowledge, but you'd be able to re-use at least some assets hopefully), and more people will buy it without thinking. This makes me sad. [Edit]Looking back, this has probably been said already in a different way. In my defence, I forgot to look at pages 2 and 3 before blindly shooting my mouth off, internet style.

So what is the point behind Precious? To clarify a little, I know of people things like this have happened to in real life (lot of friends who work in mental health in Leeds), with no happy ending etc. - life just carries on, leaving them a mental ruin. I have very little desire to see a film in which it happens.

It was just more fun for me. You could retry each race without going round to the start line again (although I believe that was fixed in a patch). I suppose one thing is that in Revenge, there was the section of road, with a few different way to the finish, but no matter which way you went, you'd always get to the finish. The ability to go wrong because of the open world nature kind of ruined some races for me...then again, if the 'retry' function has been added, it might remove the pain of racing in Paradise. But anyway, I had far more fun with Revenge. Played it for months, whereas I played Paradise for far less. Revenge should be available for about 2 pounds, so its defo worth it just for that!

That sounds pretty fucking dark. I'm not sure I want that much hurt to be put in my brain. It's enough to know that it happens in real life without having it forced into me.
  8. Idle thumbs London meet!

I didn't know about it, but fuck me if I won't be away for most of it :/ Maybe try and poke me head in on thursday, shift depending, and will try for sunday. Jsut seen this: 18:00 Screening, Angel's Egg. Hyde Park. £6.50/£5 Looks interesting. Will check it.

Sopranos, Arrested Development and Mad Men. I never liked Curb that much, despite all my friends telling me it was exactly my sense of humour. Guess it was too much like the office in that it made me cringe.

    That's the fellows!
  11. Best of the Platform: Xbox 360

Correct, I'm talking nonsense. I mean Pipe Mania, which did come out on the 16-bit machines...as that is the mini game in bioshock.
  12. Best of the Platform: Xbox 360

Lucasarts' Pipedream? I'm sure it came out on the 16 bit machines and wasn't made by them.
  13. Best of the Platform: Xbox 360

Trials HD and I would suggest Burnout revenge over paradise easy.

Played SP last nigjt's round a mate's on 360. Was kind of OK, not as exciting as he said it was, but ok. The airport level was... Just another level. No real emotional meaning for me, so I just laid into the civvies. Made no odds to me. Not going to get it for PC though. Will stick with CoD 4.

The MP criticising was Keith Vaz. Everyone knows not to take that joker seriously. In other news, the rip is 11gb. Its sheer size is stopping me!
  16. Life

I had a similar problem once, there was no reason for some websites being inaccessible and it was solved by rebooting the router.

Checked the DNS servers? If so, can you flush the DNS cache manually with Vista? Also, make sure that the vista machine isn't blocking port 53, as that is the one DNS uses to connect. A quick way to make sure if it the DNS server is to get on the machine that works, and write down the IP address that the URL resolves to, then type that directly into the non-working machine's URL namespace. If the site works, you have a DNS problem. Also you could try RELEASE-ing the IP address and RENEW-ing it. Double check vista firewall settings.

  19. Life

Not a bad first day! I got a stack of HR policies to read today. So they're chucking me in the deep end tomorrow, and I'm off to see a service user. I'm totally ambivalent and petrified about it. I'm so far out of my comfort zone.
  20. Tekken 6

I suffer with Jinpachi horrilby. Can play up to him, no real problem, actually playing the game - blocking and what have you. Then Jinpachi uses his lava laser, which sometimes I can dodge, other times not. Then I turn it off.
  21. TF2 Guest Pass

I have a spare TF2 Guest pass if anyone would like to try it. Should you want it, I will need the email address you use to login to steam with.
  22. Left 4 Thumbs

Yep, am on it quite a bit at the moment.
  23. Tekken 6

I remember trying the arcade stick when a friend had one for the megadrive...it was a lot more responsive, plus really gave you that arcade feel. The arcade feel is not something that many people can identify with these days I suspect.
  24. Uncharted 2: Among Thieves

I did get a teeny bit frustrated at the sheer number of cut-scenes. It was almost like, "Climb a wall, cut-scene, drop and roll, cut-scene, down a corridor, up some steps, cut-scene." I found the clues at the minimal puzzle bits a bit irritating as well. The game was far too willing to pop up hints on what to look for. Otherwise, great game. Didn't find it too difficult - got stuck some places but never for too long. I was happy to find the game is quite long - got about 12 hours of play out of it on normal (which obviously includes dying a lot). Thinking about trying 'Crushing'.
