  1. are u supreme commander material?

If you like C&C - go for it. If you preferred Company of Heroes, don't bother.
  2. The content of the bill is one thing... It's not just about the internet. However, the bits that ARE there to do with disconnection are there for the express reason that Fox execs and BPI folk have taken Peter Mandelson out to lunch. That still isn't the most important bit, although worrying: the bill was pushed through in what's called the 'wash-up' period... The last few weeks before Parliament is closed prior to a general election. This hasn't been discussed properly, has quite a lot of possibly serious effects on civil liberties that are the direct result of private business interests that are now law. Less than half of our elected representatives turned up to vote. Added to that, over 300 'seats' are 'safe' (meaning whichever party's representatives are currently incumbent in an area will remain there) due to the way the votes are counted. UK democratic process is broken.
  3. Life

Haha! I grew up in a house that one part of it is nearly 400 years old, so am more at home (badum-tish) with 'age'
  4. iPad

Key phrase with that Gemini thing is 'conceptual'. It will never make it to market. Let's not forget the iPad is already released, with manufacturing geared up for capacity.
  5. iPhone OS 4

Ok, to be more specific, a jailbroken iphone will allow 3rd party apps to run in the background, and it does so happily.
  6. iPhone OS 4

What I can't figure out is that a jailbroken iphone will multitask quite happily.
  7. iPad

I don't really like the closed platform - but then I have an iphone, so I guess I've already accepted that part and got over it. If I had a job and the disposable money, I'd get one. Otherwise, it's non-essential I think they look mint.
  8. Interesting stuff that might get you laid.

The gorilla sketch is my fave from NTNoCN
  9. Plain Sight

You have no control over upgrades though...do you?
  10. Mini Thumbs meet?

There are wankers everywhere Kolzig. Looks like you stumbled across a brainless one too: Who wouldn't accept a passport as proof of age? Screw him, was nothing to do with you.
  11. Interesting stuff that might get you laid.

The collective noun for baboons is a 'Flange'.
  12. Mini Thumbs meet?

    A very real possibility.
  13. Personally, no, but some people might. www.gamecrush.com "The GameCrush Public Beta is temporarily unavailable due to the incredible user response (more than 10,000 inquiries in five minutes). We are adding new servers to provide players with the best PlayDate experience possible. Games with GameCrush PlayDates start at $6.60 for ten minutes." Wait, $6.60 for 10 minutes? I'm not sure ANYONE will pay that. :ding: Then I looked at their press release: "On GameCrush, players can find their perfect PlayDate through browsing their profiles and chatting live with them. Players can then purchase a live one-on-one private gaming session, complete with two-way video and text chat." I see. Lol.
  14. Thumb Fortress 2

Q3 was awesome in it's day! Used to play that after work about 10 years ago (we had a 256K leased line.....oooooOOOOOOOOoooooo ) Was so fast, frantic, and fun to play. I think you can play it in a browser now? Quake Live I think it's called.
  15. I think it offers loads more than MW2.
  16. Thumb Fortress 2

    Aha! thanks http://steamcommunity.com/id/tonsko
  17. Thumb Fortress 2

I will play. Will update the thread with my Steam name, as I never know what it is. [Edit]How do you find your steam name? Is it the email address you made your account with?
  18. Tim Burton in: Treason

I loved the analysis right up until the last paragraph - nay last sentence - making the leap from "someone who can only see that which deviates from the norm as the result of trauma" to "if you’re different from other people it’s not your personality -- you’re mentally broken." I think is a leap of logic, logic that is not immediately apparent and further, has no derived inference. Otherwise, I like your thinking.

  22. Would YOU pay money to play games with girls?

Xbox live is much, much more vocal. To the point I don't bother with it anymore, as I got sick of chipmunk voices swearing.
  23. Mice for gamers.

    I LOVE the magic mouse.
  24. Life

I too loved Cananananananada. We went and visited, as we were thinking of moving out there. While we liked it, and where we visited (BC) was so awesomely beautiful, the lack of 'age' about the place was a bit strange. Another thing that has put a temporary halt on the moving thing was that my mum has come down with Alzheimer's, so want to be around while she still has a mind. That aside, we flew into Van, hung around there for a few days with some friends (awesome fun). It was may, and one of the objects of the trip was to see the Rockies in spring, so we hired a car and drove across BC and the Rockies (awesome fun, staggeringly beautiful) via the northern road (awesome) and Okanagan, went a little north in Rockies a few national parks (awesome), then onto Calgary (not so nice), drove back to Van via Crowsnest pass (I think this was miffy's tip actually. Respect.) and the border road, up alongside Kootenay lake (in a country full of beautiful things, this was nearly the best), through Nelson (nice, a bit too hippyfied thoguh), along the border back onto Highway 1, straight through Van to Vancouver Island (awesome) and onto Ucluelet (awesome). That was so staggeringly beautiful we stayed an extra day or two, saw some whales, then drove back to Van for some more parties, then flew home. The Canucks were all super friendly (although we had a head start with some friends out there already, but their friends were super nice), and had a great time. Highly recommended. Want to go back My one regret is that we were there outside the hockey season, as I wanted to see what they all go crackers aboot.
