I want hordes genestealers imagine if they were genestealers Whilst writing my post I'd noticed the screenshot on the gaming blogs. There's definitely no comparison going on, as (officially) Dawn of War 2 is nothing compared to StarCraft 2. Aaaaanyway...

Watched the videos, read the previews/reviews. It has a nice COD4 vibe about it and the graphics are amazing.... should be good. Finally a game on the PS3 that everyone can enjoy?

holy shit. Imagine if they were genestealers. Aaaaanyway, it's nice that the units aren't body bags on wheels and your defences don't instantly implode on contact with the enemy. Graphics are nice, game runs smoothly, loads fast, no lag... but the maps (seem) really small and I can't accurately tell friend from foe at a glance - a problem that's made twice as difficult when people mix and match races within teams. The gameplay also seems extremely focused on Victory Point grabbing. It feels as if you have to play it in a very particular, meticulous way - from day one, and from the moment the game starts. It doesn't feel as complete or as varied an experience as it was in COH, and from what little I've played so far it's just not clicking for me. I'm guessing I'm jumping the gun and it grows on you eventually but first impressions are 'hmm'

Liked that episode, just a shame the mutiny was put to bed so easily and now it's back to skulduggery.

So why did they ban short-selling? According to some Guardian article, I read off the cuff - simply because it involved my bank, some guys made something like 12m from short-selling on Barclays and there's some people unhappy that the ban was lifted because of that.

Lost. Thought the new season got off to a good start myself, but there seems to be a few people who find the whole time travelling nonsense to be a cheap trick. I'm not sure what to think, as I still don't know what the fuck is actually going on, but main thing is I'm entertained - and Hurley's summary of Lost (in the second episode) was hilarious. The Diary of Anne Frank. I don't know how this BBC series ranks in comparison to the book or other adaptations but the first four episodes are wonderful Das Boot (light) fly on the wall type affairs, and the aversion to over egging sentimentality is very refreshing, with character faults all-round. The fifth, and final episode caused a large pool of water to swell up in my eyes, which despite knowing the ending in advance was still unexpected

All invites are taken from a limited pool, so they didn't take them away from you - it's just everyone else used up their invites (and by extension that of the pool) and none were left to go around. From reading they give out invites periodically.

Good point now you mention it, it seems Valve have been doing this from the very beginning. Although, some people hated the updates so much they still play the earlier versions.

Yes, the post-release updates is what they are referring to. Left 4 Dead is going to get the same treatment. One might say the Orange Box was rather generous in its offerings as well.
