1. Tales of Monkey Island

Am I hoping too far beyond hope to consider that they might - one day, in the far future - hook up with Ron Gilbert to put out the original MI3?
2. At least they acknowledge both Ron/grumpygamer.com and Telltale. That's a rather un-Lucas thing to do.
3. Brütal Legend overload...!

Has anyone read/got access to a scan of Play magazine's demoplay of BL?
4. Beyond Better & Evil!

Possible BG&E gameplay video at kotaku: http://kotaku.com/5246177/is-this-new-beyond-good--evil-2-footage That said, my gut feeling is that this is not BG&E2. The design of the other characters and the cows is too humany (or cow-y) and the design, in general, doesn't seem... inspired. On the other hand, that big mountain at the end looks very similar to one of the big mountains in the BG&E world. EDIT: Wikipedia quotes Ancel as saying "This time we are dealing with planet's future, and the relationship with animals..." so that might explain the absence of the humanoid animals. Maybe. EDIT EDIT: What language is that at the beginning? Doesn't sound like French to me.
5. Shadow of the Colossus: the movie

Full Throttle. Though I'd love it if they did it as cel animation.
6. With the Ace Attorney series, do I need to have played the earlier ones to 'get' the latter ones? I occassionally see the second or third ones in game stores but I always hesitate because I haven't played the first one.
7. Raycatcher

http://www.thinkingstudios.com/ Is a game in the same vein as Audiosurf; gameplay defined by music. I've only played the demo which, I have to admit, was fairly dull. The music was fairly generic and I couldn't tell the connection between it and the gameplay - which mainly involves swivelling a round object to be in the right position at the right time to catch rays of light. Unfortunately, said demo doesn't allow user-selected mp3 levels so I can't comment on the full experience. Has anyone played the full version? Is it worth getting? I'm an Audiosurf addict and would love something similar, but only if it has the same level of polish.
8. Oddworld Pack on Steam

Stranger's Wrath is excellent. Lorne Lanning said that if the Steam versions of AO and AE sell well enough, they'll fund a port of the Xbox games. Some rumours claim that that process has already begun. Hopefully they'll start with SW as it is the better game by far than Munch's Oddysee.
9. Oddworld Pack on Steam

You're most welcome. All the world's obsessive Oddworld fans thank you for your support.
10. Oddworld Pack on Steam

Exoddus is a sequel to Oddysee, both in terms of plot and gameplay. So if you want it to make sense (also, if you don't want to frustratedly shout at the screen 'BUT WHY DON'T YOU HAVE QUICKSAVE LIKE YOUR LITTLE BROTHER?!'), I'd suggest playing Abe's Oddysee first.
11. Hitman: Blood Money (or why Steve Gaynor is nuts)

Enough playtesting should come up with the most obvious options though. And bistro's example of replacing the prop gun with his own gun seems pretty obvious to me.
12. Oddworld Pack on Steam

I love Toblix' post even more having recently read discussion on the Vintage Games Club forum where they point out all the same issues and decide that the game must therefore suck balls. I hope you don't mind that I quoted you on the Oddworld forums. Oh, and dying/saving is much improved in Abe's Exoddus.
13. I think the real question should be, when are we going to cry at level 17?
14. Impressions from playing Portal

On the other hand, I wish Firefly hadn't been cancelled after 14 episodes. I wish the fifth Harry Potter movie hadn't had so much of the fun-but-not-plot-furthering chapters of the book edited out. I wish I had a third example to make this post flow better.Seems to me that it's a basic human reaction to want more of something we liked. That said, whilst I completely understand the mindset, I was happy with the length of Portal. As other people have said, its strength was that it left you wanting more, not that it had outstayed its welcome. EDIT: Rereading this post, I realise that my point might not be clear. I'm saying that we shouldn't be so absurdly snarky towards people who say Portal shouldn't have been longer, even if I don't agree with them.
15. 2k8 gaming essential facts

Considering that they were comparing and contrasting the different demographics, yes. Sure, women over 18 were a higher percentage than boys under 18, but if you compare the number of hours each group play, you might find that teenage boys in total play more than women do in total. (If I'm not being clear: I mean that if you totalled up the hours that everyone played games, then the boys would probably be more than 18% of that total and the girls would probably be less than 33%).Ultimately it depends on what you want to take out of this document. My vibe was that the authors wrote it to make people go "Gee, that's interesting" rather than "These are some important statistics that we can use to understand gaming demographics".
16. 2k8 gaming essential facts

They don't specify how they define 'gamer'. They're probably comparing a 40 year old woman playing Peggle once a week to a 15 year old who only leaves WoW to eat and wank.
17. Wasn't the sequel to Alice meant to be based on The Wizard of Oz?
18. The last game you played

Voodoo Vince, because I was in the mood for some middle-school platforming action and snarky humour.
19. Your favorite game glitches!

It's gone now! Repost someone, repost!
20. Crayon Physics

*shrug* I'm just going to shut up now, seeing as I've uninstalled it and I'm working from a memory of frustration.
21. Crayon Physics

Yes, I'd forgotten that when I wrote the last post. I'll give another example and I hope that I'm not really getting to the point of splitting hairs. Say I need to get the ball across a gap. I draw a really good ramp and then drop a box on it to get it moving; only I draw the box badly and the ball rolls in the wrong direction and falls off the screen. It would be good if I could keep the ramp and go back to before I drew the box.
22. Crayon Physics

I gave up in the second island, where you have to draw levers and, often, a second object like a ramp or a box. Sometimes I'd make a perfect lever but my ramp would fall down (or vice versa) and it irritated me that I'd have to start from scratch rather than just redraw the offending object.
23. Crayon Physics

I think this is a good game but not a great one. You just have to stop yourself comparing it to World of Goo - it doesn't have the same sense of atmosphere and emotional connection to the goos. Standing alone, it's simple, fun and I'd still be playing it if it had a frigging undo feature. I got sick of having to restart levels from scratch.
24. A Prince of Persia?

Has anyone got this on PC? What are the controls like? I'm thinking about getting this one on Steam but I've learnt from experience that platformers don't always work with a keyboard.
25. Schafer Interview

I'm confused. The article clearly predates the EA announcement and the release of Spore, but the article date says 31 December 2008 whilst the comments date back to August. How does that work?
