I just wish he'd give a definite statement either way. If PC wasn't going to happen, I'd go buy it on PSN right away but as long as there's ambiguity I'm going to hold off from buying it just yet.Does anyone know how much it costs?
  2. Monkey Island 2: SE

I think the backgrounds are fine, but an improved movement engine and better quality character models would do wonders.Rerendering the FMVs would be good too, but probably beyond what they'd be prepared to do.
  3. Monkey Island 2: SE

Nah, I really, really hope they leave DoTT as it is and just rerelease it.
  4. Limbo

I think it was something about the Vatican removing Limbo from its concept of the afterlife. Not 100% sure though.
  5. Limbo

    Which one?
  6. Limbo

Release date announced via mailing list as 21st of July!
  7. Sam & Max: The Devil's Playhouse

I didn't mind the endless loops this time, mainly because there weren't long unskippable sections between each gameplay bit and because the dialogue options leading to puzzle success were generally well-signposted. Because of that, I was able to try out all the other options first just to see what they did. This was actually the first Telltale game that I haven't gotten stuck and had to refer to a walkthrough. Interesting puzzles and a good few laughs, so thumbs up for 303.
  8. Tales of Monkey Island

Did anyone else get the Tales of Monkey Island box set delivered? I ordered the deluxe edition on the 15th of March and it hasn't yet left their warehouses. In the past Telltale didn't let me pay for delivery until the box sets were ready to be sent, so I can't work out why there would be such a long delay on this one.
  9. Portal 2

Yeah, I just had exactly the same thought.I might still keep up to date on articles, but just avoid any more footage of gameplay.
  10. Recently completed video games

Haha... I also like this ruling. Telltale games are pretty much the only ones I've finished in the last year or so.

Correction to my last post: Website is back up. PSN release is the 13th and XBLA is the 14th.
  13. DeathSpank

As of 30 seconds ago, the website is giving a database error. Hopefully will be up and working soonerish. EDIT: Also, Wikipedia is giving a release date of July 13, 2010.
  14. What is the Mystery of Scoggins?

Yeah, me too. I'll wait until I want to buy something else and use it to get past the $50 free postage threshold.
  15. Portal 2

The designers discussed that issue in the GameInformer article a while back. They made the same point that you did, that they'll never be able to reproduce the brilliant surprise and wonder at hearing Still Alive over the end credits, so they're not going to.Apparently there are going to be several songs in this game, but they wouldn't say anything more.

Unless Doc travelled through time to 2010 to find Marty as a 50 year old...
  17. Injuries That Prevented Gaming.

I've had RSI on my mouse fingers. I don't really play many games that need incredible precision, so it didn't really stop me playing anything. Just made it slightly uncomfortable, I suppose.
  18. Sam & Max: The Devil's Playhouse

    Even still.
  19. Sam & Max: The Devil's Playhouse

*shrug*I thought Season 2 was very good. Not brain-meltingly excellent, but consistently entertaining with only one or two minor flaws. Anything below '7' would be in the realm of 'Average' for me. Now try to imagine what my thought processes are like when I'm marking my students' assignments.
  20. Sam & Max: The Devil's Playhouse

    I'd say 7.5

  22. Most of the oldschool Lucasarts adventure games had brilliant soundtracks, in particular Grim Fandango and The Dig. The biker rock sections of Full Throttle were also incredibly well-suited to the game. (MixNMojo have many of the LA games' soundtracks available for download) Oddworld: Stranger's Wrath is, to date, the only game soundtrack album I've ever bought. It's beautifully composed and produced, and really captures the mood of the various regions of the game, from the Wild West to the native tribal areas and the ending set in a massive industrial complex. Beyond Good and Evil's soundtrack was a total mixed bag of styles in a brilliant sort of way.
  23. Monkey Island 2: SE

And looks wrong too. He resembles a neanderthal with Elephantiasis. On the other hand, I never considered that Dominic Armato's normal talking voice would sound like Guybrush. That's wierd and kinda cool.
  24. Beyond Better & Evil!

Maybe you're Michel Ancel then, eh?
  25. General Video Game Deals Thread

I have a friend who wants one of the codes, seeing as I already gave mine to someone else. If you're not going to use it, would someone mind PMing me their code so I can pass it on?
