  1. The last game you played

Majora's Mask. It took me 18 months (!) and the very close guidance of a guide to complete but I did it! I finally saved the world.
  2. Zero Punctuation

Did anyone else notice the "Jonathan Blows? More like Jonathan Suck" line at the end there?
  3. Where is everyone?

I've been here. Just standing here. Right here, next to you. I haven't posted anything in quite a long while though. My life just isn't interesting enough to warrant sharing it with people the other side of an ocean
  4. Japanese Radio

I've been told that the easiest way to pick up a language is to fully immerse yourself in it. That makes sense, right? People who go to a country learn to think in the different language as opposed to translate like we all did in school. I desperately want to learn Japanese (I got Rosetta Stone! It works wonderfully but it's just not enough!) and one of the things that occurred to me that might be good is to listen to Japanese radio. Like, talk radio. I don't think listening to the music is going to do me much good. But all I really want are some mp3s that I can put on my player and zone out from when I'm at the gym or something, letting it all trickle slowly into my mysterious subconscious. Anyone know of such a thing?
  5. Japanese Radio

Yeah, I remember doing about feral children in psychology. It's something like by the age of 14 the speech centre of your brain stops growing. If you learn a language before then, you can adapt other languages on top of it (like learning English from birth then French at school). If it fully grows without you learning a language then you can't work with grammar or syntax or anything like that. But anyway, thanks for the podcasts. Haven't checked them out yet but will do soon
  6. E3

From IGN... "There isn't anything that we can announce today, but we have been thinking along a variety of different lines regarding this matter for some time now," Shigeru Miyamoto told IGN. "So my hope is that sometime in the not too distant future we will be able to discuss some concrete solutions." So there you go. It's on the horizon perhaps
  7. Great, the spammers found the PM system

    YOU ARE THE CHOSEN ONE
  8. Birthday? More like...

Hmm... I had lasagne today. Are you in my family? Regardless, most happiest of birthdays to you
  9. Buying a PS3

So going back to the backwards compatibility thing (this has been confusing me for some time and these seems the perfect opportunity), there are no current PS3s with it in, right? But if I bought an second hand one off of ebay or something, is there a way of knowing it has the hardware in or not?
  10. I shoot things with my Wii

    And last year apparently...
  11. You know, when I woke up this morning all I could think of was "just what are the problems occurred in the arrangement of the composition"? I'm just glad someone was thoughtful enough to answer that question
  12. When you reach 30...

I liked the World of Warcraft part the best
  13. Stop bumping old posts, you dick

Ha ha. That was actually pretty genius. Has he been waiting for this thread to get old just to bump it?
  14. Zero Punctuation

We also have an incredible abundance of unguarded railway lines in the country. They're pretty scary stuff. Probably not exactly weather affected though
  15. New DS design?

Yeah that's right. About that shade of green
  16. A real face-melter (or "Hayfever's a right b*st*rd!")

    I've got those scissors...
  17. Crock Band

In case anyone's interested, IGN have an incredibly biased feature on the Wii version.
  18. New DS design?

Wow! That's a hell of a picture. Also I just wanted to agree that the lime green DS is also the best thing in the world. I'm also considering getting one since the calibration is pretty much screwed on my old-school model making it impossible to complete Zelda. Money's constantly the issue though no matter how green it may be. As for a new design I'm equally sceptical. I can't really see what they would gain from releasing a third incarnation and I hope imagine (or hope) that most resources for that kind of thing would be going into a new handheld machine by now. But then I think I just repeated what everyone else just said
  19. A real face-melter (or "Hayfever's a right b*st*rd!")

Maybe I'm being hit particularly high this year because I moved away to go to Uni then. It's not especially far but who knows? Or, like Wrestle said, the high pollen count probably is a factor
  20. A real face-melter (or "Hayfever's a right b*st*rd!")

Ugh, my throat's been killing me the last few days because I simple can't breathe through my mouth when I sleep. It's horrible, like half of it's missing or something. Not to mention having to eat a new Airwave every half hour.
  21. Big Fat Recommendation

My exams are almost over and I'm bored out of my mind so I feel it's only right to start the summer by staying indoors and buying myself a game for the Wii. Problem is though, the amount of Wii titles out there seem to have increased 100-fold since last time I actually went shopping for a game. Thusly, if you were I, what game would you spend your ever-dwindling student loan on? I already own GH3, Mario Kart, RE4, Galaxy, Paper Mario, Zelda and Zack and Wiki so what would look good on my meticulously alphabetised shelf next to them?
  22. Big Fat Recommendation

Alrighty, Metroid is next on my list
  23. Big Fat Recommendation

Just to put you all out of your suspense I decided to buy No More Heroes today since it was £20 in Game. I'm curious though, how come no one recommended it?
  24. Big Fat Recommendation

Not on my budget it's not Nor anyone else's for that matter. Not on Wii anyway
  25. Big Fat Recommendation

I've been kind of thinking about Metroid for a while. I liked the first one but never completed it (the last boss was too hard for me...). Brawl's not out over here yet so that's a no. As for LostWinds I've always been a bit wary about buying stuff that isn't physical. I don't know why, I guess I just like the option of returning things or selling them on.
