Gamestation also have some excellent value Xbox 360 combos, if you prefer a more traditional/immediate purchase (and some usually-decent games banter whilst forking over your cash). You can order them online too, but you have to pay for postage. Plus the in-store deals come out a few days before the appear on the website, so it's worth wandering into your local shop before buying online. Still, that Amazon UK deal is superb.

Very neat. Like the character creation tool. Keep you eyes peeled for Wrestle.

If you'd like to make the arrangments with Nintendo Corporation of Japan, then sure.

Everything I've heard indicates Udon will be redrawing everything, including the animations. Capcom have said they want SSF2 Turbo HD Remix to be their next big 2D game, as evolutionary as Guilty Gear was compared to the original SF2. And this wouldn't be possible if they weren't reanimating the characters in HD, from scratch, with a significantly higher number of frames of animation. I believe the biggest time sink in the project is having Udon generating all the art assets by hand, as Capcom have also said they've gotten the basic SSF2 Turbo mechanics working with draft high-res sprites already.

Hey, there's a first time for everything you know.

That's just as great; I laughed out loud when the band started playing.

What's bad about that? Sounds like justice to me...

Which is exactly what has me frothing at the mouth! Wasn't aware that Majesco were publishing in the EU, which sheds a little more light on the reason for the PAL release being ultimately canned.

Good to hear you're enjoying yourself. I put a few hours into Minish Cap and it's without doubt the slickest portable game I've ever played. The character designs, the animation, the scenery, the music, the sound effects--everything is absolutely flawless. I've still yet to be grabbed by a Zelda adventure and see it through to the end, though. But that's just me.

Certainly is--from one of my favourite anime. Everyone should watch it, it's superb.

Needs more goggle. Very cute though.

My champion!

No, they said, "you have no responsibility for this, but why haven't you taken responsibility for it anyway?" Because they're micro-managing cunts no doubt.

Anyone working in any industry's QA department automatically qualifies for my pity/sympathy. I was The Anti-Bug-Raising Bastard on High for quite a while in a previous job, until I actually learned what "reasonable" and "compromise" meant. And by this I mean I was a programmer who fought QA's requests at every turn, without appreciate the (often very strict) test programmes that QA must work to. I'm also well aware of just how cut throat QA Management can be--especially when it comes to taking a nice fat shit on their underlings. I think QA Management must eat a lot of Project Management Fibre, because - boy - is they regular. Hope the extra long Bank Holiday weekend makes up for it, Yuf.

Penumbra sounds good to me and is receiving a respectable amount of (favourable) coverage. And whilst STALKER is - unsurprisingly - not perfect, it's a commercial success. Did you patch it before you played it though? I don't understand the cause for hate. Mind you, it is a toblix post...

I think the "ing in the Games Industry" part of your thread title is entirely spurious.

Great work, enjoyed them both. I think you might have something with the Blue character, too. Will we see him again?

Hmmm... reminds of somethi--wait a minute! "...because he's holding a Sony battery pack!!!"
-
Um, yeah - the definition in her arms really prove that. Not.

Anyway: back on topic. "The tension is almost palpable as James Spafford anxiously awaits the results of the Sing Star competition..."

I've heard rumour that Microsoft intends to price the cameras very aggressively over the coming months, as they intend for most people to get them. Being able to offer realtime P2P video through your TV is another incentive to keep people tethered to the motherbrain, i.e. Xbox Live Gold.
