  1. The Best Idea I ever Had.

In my head, I was the first. So I've called "bagsy" on it.
  2. Sam & Max

Site's back up. I'm now really excited about Episodic Sam n Max. The comics work really well because you can't tell where they'll be next -- Mars, the past, the moon etc. Short sharp jabs of adventuring fun works for me, especially if there's an over-arching storyline. Brilliant stuff. Let's hope that's what they're doing... d
  3. Sam & Max

The new site is down...! Dammit!
  4. Co-Op story-based games?

I think Half-Life for the PS2 had a 2 player coop where you play the stupid women that are responsible for putting the sample into the tube for Gordon to play around with. They screw it up, predictably, and the downfall of Black Mesa/ Earth gets placed squarely at their tiny little ladies' feet. Apparently it was quite good, but your girlfriend possibly needs to have a good working knowledge of Half-Life in order to 'get' it... there'll be something on it over at Wikipedia, no doubt...
  5. "Next-gen" Sonic info and screens

Fair enough, but Eggman remains a stupid name. They should keep on changing it for us Westerners.
  6. "Next-gen" Sonic info and screens

This is a subject so close to my heart that I've dedicated a whole entire Blog post to it. Stop Getting Sonic Wrong
  7. half-life

As your Gibbage score will attest, my good friend. What's your ranking, now? 27%? Bwah-hah-haaaah...! I'm surprised you made it past the crates without getting a nasty splinter and dying from infection. Bwah-hah-haaaah...!
  8. Buy your own Video Game Development Team!

Coffee's thrown in, but you need to bring your own water and milk. And kettle.
  9. Buy your own Video Game Development Team!

I'll do you one for $100,000.
  10. 'Gibbage' from Size Five Games

I considered Ninja Ropes, actually. Unfortunatley, they were completely useless and fell into the same category as "Rocket Packs", in that it was a really disappointing power-up to get. Glad Gibbage got declared the winner, though. That cheered me up. The best control I've found is a cheapo Joypad, which cost me about £5. Which is about $8, I think. If I have to use a keyboard (as I did for a long time), I use Z/X for left and right, F/C for up and down, H for shoot, G for action and LShift for Bomb. Works brilliantly for me, but then I was brought up on a diet of Chuckie Egg, and as such these keys feel like a natural extension of my manly body...

I never heard of Liero before people started mentioning it here... bet it isn't as good as Gibbage, though. Was there a level in Liero that had hundreds of Zombies swarming around a disused hospital? Or on top of a speeding train? Or in space? Or amid wanking monkeys? I don't think so. Therefore, despite having never played Liero, I hereby officially declare it "not as good as Gibbage".

Woo hoo! Fan mail! Thanks LOP, glad you're enjoying it. Perhaps you'd like to embellish a little for these fine people. Help me convince them Gibbage is the Indie gaming event of the decade...!
  13. Highway 17

I couldn't agree with you more. It's like it's suddenly fashionable to slag it off, despite the fact that it's clearly brilliant, brilliant stuff. People are weird...
  14. Great Gaming Quotes

Lifted directly from Aliens, but reproduced with appauling acting in Aliens Vs Predator 2: "Hurry up." "I know". "I mean it." "I knoooooooowwwwww." Truly horrible.
  15. 'Gibbage' from Size Five Games

    Yaaaaay! Thanks! d

You can always change the keys via the options menu; but you're definitely right, it's much better with a joypad...! Let me know how you get on, my email's on the Gibbage site... Dan
