Your own guys are just as good given the chance. You just have to be really careful in the game and try to plan so you're not just hoping the enemy will take a specific path. I can't speak for the mission design of the single player campaign, but the mechanics in the game are robust.

That's because there isn't a spawn rate. Whenever the game loads that section of the map into memory the enemies come with it.

If someone has the GOG copy you can ask them how that works. I'm sure it just uses Dosbox and if you set it up the same way it'll work just as well.

Yeah, I don't really know what's causing such load on the servers. Probably their code is problematic but they never knew because the beta didn't have enough players. I never had any problems during the beta. Erm, I'll get you next time, PiratePoo. I was thinking of another game before -- turns out this time the game lied to me. When I was planning my guy was supposed to move right after the explosion so he wouldn't be hurt (I delayed his actions on purpose), but he died anyway :x Not that I've been doing better after that.

Yup. I think they need one central server that doesn't handle the games at all, but communicates with the other servers to make everything work seamlessly. But I guess the game must be selling for these problems to exist, so I suppose that's good.

Not to rain on your parade, but GOG sells it for $6 and you don't have to figure anything out. Of course if the box is important for you that won't do.

A mere ruse! Actually, there's some inconsistency with the order you do things if you have your dude crouching, then have him stand and shoot and crouch again. It's a good idea to test your turn to make sure they actually do what you want them to do. Which I didn't have time for :X

Yes it was. Actually I decided not to get it for the PC. I was expecting even cheaper :x 7.5€ is too much to get something I already own just to see how it plays on the PC.
