No, that's not how it works. They spend all of the money on the game, and when it's published and starts turning a profit, 5% of that is contributed to Kickstarted projects.

To be specific, I would say that fiction can try to simulate our inner speech, which other mediums cannot do very well. Cinema can only (practically) present stories from the third person. Games of course can be presented in the first person, but since the player character is primarily an avatar of the player, they're a completely different beast. No other medium can put you in the head of a character and present their observations and thought patterns as well as their actions.

The extras include "Triss Playboy session". I honestly stopped playing this game because I just felt too uncomfortable after I moved in with my girlfriend. She's moving to another town soon, though, so maybe I'll go back to it. I don't suppose save games are compatible... There's a lot of grinding for gear and looking for shit that I wouldn't want to do again.

Mein Thumbcraft—IdleT Dedicated Minecraft Server

I'm in an odd position. I don't care for Creative, but I also refuse to deal with having to light up every inch of my home. Everything you make ends up looking like a Christmas tree. I'll probably go see the sights some day anyway. -
Dunno, if China improves their labour laws, companies will likely move their production lines to cheaper countries with worse labour laws. It's the demand for products made in such manner that is also the problem, not only the supply. I don't see a solution.

Dick Richard would be a great name. Dick 'Double-Dick' Richard.

That name seems improbable.

That's what I've been presuming, at least! -
I could have sworn ME3 looks practically the same as ME2, but when firing up ME2, it really doesn't! I remember ME2 conversations and such looking really fluid, but it looks like Bioware was able to improve even though they were so short on time.

I think I have some version of Sins, which I tried once, but definitely not Trinity :/ -

No, that's Grunge Cinema.

I just finished the game, so I can start reading this thread and find out about everyone's take on the game. Personally, I thought the game had far more problems towards the beginning than the end. The end was fine and at the moment I don't really understand why it would have caused such a ruckus. EDIT: I agree with John Walker of RPS: http://www.rockpapershotgun.com/2012/03/19/whats-right-with-mass-effect-3s-ending/ What could have been improved about the ending is a matter of budget and time. They could have made the cutscenes more diverse, made 'War Readiness' more apparent towards the end and been a bit more careful about foreshadowing some of the stuff in the final moments. DX:HR was universally praised, and its ending was not any better. At least in ME3's case I took the time to play through each one -- I started doing that in DX:HR, but stopped after a moment into the second one I watched. I just didn't care.

Several of us are playing the free version though! -
This would have gone better if it was simply Support Jane Jensen's Next Game and nothing more, IMO.

Tell me about it.

Man, I don't know, I'll never read the books. But the scene mentioned here just seemed off to me. It just made him look a bit stupid.
-
That just sounds like the author has a boner for the character so the same rules don't apply to him.

The SNES game did many things right, though mostly atmosphere. But this doesn't really interest me. I don't need elves in my cyberpunk.

I don't recall myself suggesting putting one guy far to the left and really loud, everybody else a bit to the right in the same spot, and then add noise and compress the hell out of the file. It was really weird listening to one of the Bombcasts at work. It was the first one I listened to, and they discussed one of them wanting to do the show in stereo, but encountering really vehement opposition. It really sounded like they were describing our earlier discussion.

Sure, but give us a warning about when to start reading.
