Yeah, I've tried the highest difficulty and it's a bit too much. Snipers are tough enough on Hardcore, but on the highest difficulty they can almost one shot you.

I just started playing this. After the first mission, the first guy I lost due to my own actions died of friendly fire.

Playing this the second time around feels surprisingly fresh. There's so much interesting terrain that it doesn't feel like I'm just treading old ground. I love the AI barks when they don't know where you are. Bravado with a good dose of confusion and fear.

I'm really only interested in space sims if I can plunge into the atmosphere from space and then race around at 5000 km/h. Something like FFE driven by Space Engine.

People who pre-order games or buy them at launch pay a hefty premium. Mistreating those customers cannot be anything but bad business and lack of respect.
