It would have to be a property of the RNG without reference to the probability. By that I mean that the RNG tracks what numbers it has been giving, and if there have been more high numbers than expected, it would start giving somewhat lower ones for a while.

Yikes. Well, an American passport sounds like something that would help. I guess she can't actually leave the country because that would fuck up her studies :/

My mobo only supports DDR2, which means I can't upgrade my RAM. Purely costs reasons, DDR2 seems to be ridiculously expensive here.

Your posts always make me feel guilty as hell about how my little problems affect me. That's horrible. I recently saw a documentary about a Moroccan woman in a bad situation, which made me think of something when reading that. Does she have her official papers? Can she prove who she is without dealing with her father? What a nasty situation.

I have a hard time believing that they roam considering how many times a group has just appeared next to my dudes.

I think they use a thingamajig in the processor and not the time and date. I dunno, I could be wrong. EDIT: Actually, this is probably how many pieces of software get their random numbers: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/CryptGenRandom

Episode 190: The XCom Review Show

I can't fire up the game. I saved at the start of a terror mission. I can't face it. Oh, I think my cowardly Heavy has actually ended two missions by panicking and killing the last alien. The dude is a psychic and his will is something like 54... Can someone confirm there's no way to capture and interrogate a Chrysalid? -
I want a confirm dialog for moving to somewhere without cover. That happens so rarely it wouldn't be annoying, but when you accidentally do it you die.

I wonder if Aussie Ben is involved with this since he's worked with the team mentioned in the Kickstarter before.

Why use percentages for probabilities if they are not accurate? Just display the probability less precisely, even with just a description.

I thought close combat didn't even work with Chrysalids... From experience, not from anything I read. -
I heard ten million goes towards 40 hours of FMV.

You could use huge versions of those to catch people jumping from burning skyscrapers, and then throw them into the nearest body of water for kicks.

My connection is easily fast enough to stream 1080p as long as it's a bit more compressed than Blu-ray. I think what I saw is as good as it gets. It looked similar to the resolution of Wii with the best possible connection.

I showed him.

Huh, Netflix's idea of HD looks like SD and SD looks like a copy of a VCR rental.

Had an alien abduction mission with three floaters and seven mutons in a tiny little construction yard, yikes. Lost three guys. That's a good point about Arkham Horror! It's very similar.

Holy shit, zombies are bastards. Even on normal, when Chrysalids get going on a terror mission... bad news. Managed not to loose anyone, but it was really close with two of my best guys.
-
Huh, that's really weird. I'm not a soldier, but I'd be surprised if that was how it actually worked.

A few beers definitely makes an interesting Far Cry 2 experience. An extra level of chaos and unpredictability.

I was just playing on normal and had a guy with LOS on at least six enemies, possibly more. Normal is definitely too easy, but I'm playing the campaign through so I will know more about the choices I can make in the strategy phase.

Yup, a lot like laser rifles!
