I just saw Idiocracy by Mike Judge last night. Office Space is one of my favourite comedies, so I was excited to see this at first. However, I didn't hear too much positive comments about it and it looks like it was turned to a straight-to-DVD release for some reason. I was hesitant to see it. In the end, I ended up laughing all the way through.

I mostly agree with vimes. 300 wasn't what I expected; I wanted to see an unending onslaught of stylized action, but I got was occasional cool action scenes and a buttload of completely useless dialogue and an equally useless narrator that wouldn't shut up.

Movies look terrible when viewed out of their correct aspect ratio, though. For example, you might have two people talking to each other and see neither of their faces.

Ahah, I was looking at console games at a store earlier today, mostly Wii games, and noticed that the new TMNT game for 360 costs 76€. 76€! I almost picked up a Wii (there were five Wiis just sitting there!), but they didn't have Twilight Princess.

I had a dream where Cuddy thought House would never find the answer to their problem, but then House flew to the moon with the patient and cured her. He used a 747, except it had a big ol' rocket in the back. Cuddy was dumbfounded! Then it turns out House had been deformed by radiation, but wore a perfectly life-like mask to hide his hideous face. This is my contribution to this debate.

I seem to remember posting positive comments about Yufster's updates!

Okay, turns out I have no idea what the 32x is. -

You can play Snatcher with the 32x -> it's worth 10 bucks and more. -
Sure, works for a single building, but a city full of those?
-
There are a fuckload of buildings. Of course they can't have all the windows reflect things around them.

I thought the last 15 minutes were great. All in all, though, this season ended up being pretty lackluster compared to the others

Apparently GTA2 took place in "Anywhere City" or some such place. No specific city, even in the GTA universe.

It's more of a "You have to be mature in order to be able to watch this" than "This content is mature" label.

All good philosophy has swearing
-
Yes. Well, apparently there has already been an Empire State Building lookalike and a Times Square lookalike, so the rest are not so odd.

I like the Koyaanisqatsi like bits.

Omega Man is great. It works as a movie and Charlton Heston is great. On the other hand, it's a silly movie and Charlton Heston is extremely amusing.

Yeah, reinvented without the horrible hand-destroying button tapping. -
Blade Runner, Beneath a Steel Sky. There are a few.

They don't, miffy. Stalker was in development for six years. It uses old tech and will absolutely run better than FEAR, just as long as you don't enable the high tech stuff they slapped on the engine.
-
Not very, unless you use dynamic lighting (which in Stalkerverse includes HDR and such niceties). Without dynamic lighting, it'll run better than Half-Life 2. With dynamic lighting it feels a bit like being mugged.

It's not non-fiction if you can change the outcome

If a game would take an entire CD, you couldn't store very many of them on any SD card. I still find it unlikely the Wii would have enough processing power to run Saturn games.
-
I think you may have misinterpreted my post a little, Mr. Lobotomy. See the question mark and the WTF smilie. I absolutely favour fiction over non-fiction and my favourite author is Philip K. Dick, so I'm partial to science fiction as well.

It seems like a great game. I had to pirate it before buying (can't just buy something that's gone through six years of tumultuous development), but it seems like a very good purchase. Cheap, too. Don't get me wrong, there are some things about it that annoy me, but on the whole it has been a very positive experience so far.
