Joust is still great. But I never even played that as a kid.

It's not just about showing the correct emotions though, it's also about thinking like a sane person, which can be hard to get right.

That's a piss poor reason for being reserved about Bioshock. You didn't like the one enemy NPC they had finished for that old, old demo footage? Fine, in the finished game no two NPCs are the same. Oh, and about Mario Party, I had been interested in it myself, but lost interest because of the Gamespot review. Didn't seem like something I'd pay for.

Gamespot says it sucks. I'm waiting for Bioshock, Mass Effect, GTAIV and Fallout 3, all of which will require me to get a 360. For Wii, Super Mario Galaxies, Heroes and Metroid I guess.

Happy Birthday, you crazy bastard.

If you leave the game it'll continue from where you left it.

I should get a damn controller that supports SNES. I've really enjoyed Military Madness, a TurboGrafx16 game. It's what the Advance Wars games are based on, though I guess it's not quite as deep. Still it's great fun.

I was interested in The Descent because of Dog Soldiers, but didn't hear much good about it. I should probably check it out.

That's pretty great, the head of The Sims Studio has never played The Sims or apparently studied the design at all.
-
You have very compelling ideas on how to improve Fable's design. Good job.

Far as I know, the GameCube controller works for all Virtual Console games. The Classic controller has the bonus of being wireless, sorta (connected to the remote). I've never tried it, but the Classic controller doesn't look very comfortable.

It's a horror flic, but I don't think it's a Hollywood production.

Hey, I got Hidden & Dangerous through that (back when it wasn't free like it is now).
-
Hah, yeah I've seen that. German WW2 era soldiers going around with NATO assault rifles.

How come The Fountain did so badly both commercially and critically? I feel pretty safe to say it's one of the best movies I've seen and possibly had the strongest effect on me emotionally.
-
It'd be sweet, but I doubt it.

Well, I never got past Beyond Good & Evil's annoying bug who I didn't care about. I tried for a couple of hours and gave up. I don't play games to be annoyed.
-
Well, that's a voice of reason in this thread.

The end bosses shouldn't be too hard, because at that stage the narrative should flow along pretty quickly. The player will expect to see the end soon, and being bogged down for hours by some annoying fight isn't doing anyone any good.

Descent certainly had real 3D. You could have a roughly circular room with doors leading out from the floor, the ceiling or where ever. You could look around completely freely.

The physics engine in Invisible War is actually great, but the developers obviously didn't tune it right. The same engine works great in Thief III.
-
Invisible War was okay, but it didn't capture the magic of the original.

Hey, what's with the lack of Wii love (cheers Oath & miffy)? Zelda is awesome after the annoying village in the beginning.
-
The screens look old and uninspired.

I never understood Halo. It's just a bland shooter. Trying out Halo 2 co-operative mode is 30 minutes of my life I want back.
