If you look at the making of, in addition to the orchestra McConnell replaced synth stuff with instruments played in a studio.

Hamlet 2000 with Ethan Hawke. Haven't actually seen it, but I would love to. I guess Ethan Hawke gets on most people's nerves, though.

No, that was Knights of The Old Republic.

Doesn't work on my HD4000, BTW. So I wouldn't buy one to play this. I get black instead of backgrounds and unplayable performance at the lowest settings. Of course, this is a silly little 2-in-1, but new.

That took place in my town and that dickwad is obviously Finnish. Ugh. The stilted accent is common, but his written English can still be excellent.

Picking up all the crap along your way is part of what makes the game so tedious to play, though.

Bing has a very odd concept of Helsinki.

The poison apple is possibly a myth, so there's that. Can't remember the source, but I read an article that claimed the apple wasn't tested, but presumed to be the source of the poison. He could also have been poisoned accidentally while working.

Windows 10: "It wouldn't be right to call it Windows 9."

Xbox games aren't programmed like that. -
It was originally called The Minority Report with Larry Wilmore, which is an amazing name.

Rise of the Planet of the Apes with dogs? I don't know what to say about that trailer. It looks well made, but hard to say which direction the movie will take.

I've seen the Catholic church as an institution ridiculed for years, but crucially I've never seen someone apply that to Catholics in general. Because abuse was an institutional problem, that criticism was on point whether the church liked it or not. Blanket insulting all Muslims is a terrible response to an attack and an insult to the notion of free speech.

Guh, now that I'm in war I'm getting fed up with the battles. I constantly feel like the units are making worst possible tactical choices on purpose. It's incredible that I can direct a unit to move somewhere or attack a unit, but not move somewhere and then attack a specific unit.

I love how the areas look, but that's all I love about the game. I'd much rather be interested in talking to the characters even if I was disappointed in many aspects like with DA2. In this game I'm mostly just disappointed and occasionally marvel at the sights.

It's the sealion who is privileged. That's why he can harass people in their homes. Her comic with her face doesn't work at all because her critique is unfounded. She doesn't have the kind of privilege that stops people from being able to make her leave, unlike the sealion.

It's pretty special. I'm in my first game and thrilled so far, although it does seem a bit slow in forming conflict, although at least it came eventually.

Eidolon -- why not take a long walk in post-post-apocalyptic Washington?
brkl posted a topic in Video Gaming
So this is a game. It's about walking around in Washington after human culture has been dead and gone for a while already. It has some survival mechanics, but it's not about that. As a survival game it's the most forgiving I've come across. What it's really about is environmental storytelling, mood and pretty pictures. Mostly you walk around and pick up stuff to read and pictures to look at from the years between now and 2400 or so. The distances are pretty enormous, so play is mostly about traversal. If you pick this up, know that the eagle takes you to interesting places and don't annoy the bears. It's $15 on Humble, you get a Steam key as well. -
That interpolation stuff is a crock. Turn it off.

The first small season of Luther ia good, but it gets real dumb real fast.

The dragon should've been killed at the end of the previous movie. Having him around for this one made no sense and gutted the end of the last movie, which had a completely stupid action sequence to make up for no dragon killing.
-
It has about 40 minutes of a good movie in it after the dragon dies and before the battle begins.

Well, losing a grand jury is not average, it's exceedingly rare.

Dvd special editions are not that different from the original movies...
