  1. The Dancing Thumb (aka: music recommendations)

I wouldn't call it artsy as such. The music itself is pretty straight rock/heavy. I like the album, though, I think it's CMX's best work.
  2. Help Ginger, plicks!

There's a temporary cure for stuff such as this and it's called the Format & Reinstall technique.
  3. The Dancing Thumb (aka: music recommendations)

THIS SEASON I HAVE MOSTLY BEEN BUYING KING CRIMSON LIVE RECORDINGS So that's about a dozen albums. Also, I just ordered Stick Man by King Crimson's bass player Tony Levin and Pole by Tuner which features King Crimson's drummer Pat Mastelotto. Not too long ago I bought KTU's 8 Armed Monkey, a fantastic collaboration with King Crimson's former bass player Trey Gunn, the aforementioned Pat Mastelotto and the Finnish accordion virtuoso Kimmo Pohjonen. So there! Also, some other stuff not worth mentioning.
  4. The Dancing Thumb (aka: music recommendations)

I very rarely listen to anything you can dance to Also, my taste in music not something I want to force on anyone.
  5. Movie/TV recommendations

I liked Planet Terror. Kind of surprising, I'm not a fan of Rodriguez. Lost some steam toward the end, but all in all a fun experience.
  6. Oh come on, your friendly neighbourhood bobby would never do that.
  7. Gaming semantics

That's Time Crisis, and none of the games you listed.
  8. Gaming semantics

Thunderpeel, I understand your position, but you're going about it way too sure of yourself. Language does change, and often rapidly and unpredictably. So rapidly and unpredictably that in 20 years or so you might be able to argue that FPS acquired a different meaning around this time, but you cannot argue that now with much credibility because it's simply too soon to say. EDIT: REPAIRED MUH GRAMMER
  9. How was your weekend?

O M G YOU ARE ON THE WRONG LANE YOU FUCKING IDIOT Oh yeah.
  10. How was your weekend?

It's half past four AM and the last guests from my birthday party just left. Fun fun fun.
  11. Books!

Yeah, Cryptonomicon has a pretty shitty ending, but even so I can only recommend it. Don't try to read it if you only have half a brain, though.
  12. BioShock - They weren't kidding...

First you blame Bioshock for obvious scripting and then you bring up Half-Life?
  13. BioShock - They weren't kidding...

I mean coming up with more of a strategy to beat the big daddies than standing in a corner and hoping. How about setting some traps? How can you be so terrible in a game critisized for its lack of challenge?
  14. BioShock - They weren't kidding...

Eh, how about trying to come up with some sort of strategy, huh?
  15. Stuck in Psychonauts: Waterloo World

    Well, no. Sorry. Ironic.
  16. GAF to interview Schafer

Also, Thursday the 27th is my birthday. Thanks Tim!
  17. GAF to interview Schafer

Fucken hamwrap, I can't get this thing open!
  18. Stuck in Psychonauts: Waterloo World

Hey, you said the game gets worse after the first proper level, which is verifiably the least fun level in the game.
  19. Stuck in Psychonauts: Waterloo World

    The camp is a level.
  20. Stuck in Psychonauts: Waterloo World

Agreed about the camp being fun and cool. Wormsie, I think you're a nutter.
  21. Zero Punctuation

For some reason I liked this one even more than the rest.
  22. I have shaved all my hair off

This is shaving the way I understand it: Except you don't usually grow in size and lose ten years.
  23. Death Proof Extended DVD Review

That's the one now on DVD. The Grindhouse-version is just shorter.
  24. Death Proof Extended DVD Review

Good read, especially since pretty much all comments I hear about Death Proof is that the film is somehow raped and incomplete because it wasn't paired with Planet Terror. I'm just glad. By the way, I know a girl who looks shockingly similar to Rose McGowan (only the blonde Death Proof Rose though). I was pretty dazed when I realized it.
  25. Movie/TV recommendations

Robert Downey Jr. is just fantastic as Stark, at least in the trailer. The film has lots of potential. I don't really know much about Iron Man, though. I think I've read one comic book, but I remember liking that.
