Ewww. If I keep looking at that, I start feeling like I'm looking at some immense twisted fucking insect.

A pretty novel idea for a game came to me in a dream, wanna hear it?
brkl posted a topic in Video Gaming
I've had this semi-nightmare two nights in a row, and it ends as a sort of scenario for a game. Last night I felt compelled to write it down before I could get any sleep. I'd rather not post it here for everyone to see, as I've been thinking of making a piece of interactive fiction for a while (it's something I could do alone), and this seems like an interesting start. However, I'd love feedback, and so if you want to hear it, just PM me. -

That's not what I said! I said I would tell you, I just didn't want it here, for search engines to see for all eternity, and those people who post in the Wii number exchange thread but nowhere else. -

I have had that problem, but this time I feel I have something that is worth doing and something I could actually get done. -

I'm not hearing voices, honest! I'm SEEING TEXT. Yeah, that's Inform 7. I have some programming experience, so I could've chosen some more conventional tool, plus I was wary of the whole "natural language" thing. But it seems to work really well, and other parts of the software are excellent as well. After all, text adventures have changed very little in three decades, so they've had a long time to perfect the tools you make them with. -

Thanks everyone. I've gotten some really worthwhile suggestions, some that made me think and some that I can just use right away, and gotten enough encouragement to actually start making the game. You're wonderful people The working title is Sentience. You control a sentient nanobot swarm in a human host. I'm using Inform 7 to make it happen as a short piece of interactive fiction. Wrestle was kind enough to set up a wiki for me. Some of you already have access. So, again, if you want to know about the game in more detail and perhaps offer me some ideas, just PM me your email and I'll invite you. Not everything will turn up in the wiki, as Inform 7 itself is such a good environment to work on the game. -
Yeah. Don't get me wrong, though! It's definitely worth playing, and it's not like there are droves of games with Rabbi player characters around I like Dave Gilbert, I've bought and played his commercially released adventures as well. Oh, and Gibbage is excellent.

No reason to be a dick. -
I've been thinking of growing a goatee. I've worn a stubble for the past couple of months, but I'm getting a tired of it. No moustache, though. Actually, I'd love to grow something like what Johnny Depp is sporting right now, but one of my friends already has something close to that.

Eh? My sources point to the beginning of April.

A good novel? Maybe a good or decent short story. It's very, very short and so limited in the amount of depth it can have.

You've had enough caffeine, Cubo. -
Thanks. We did a little Guy Fawkes skit on Bonfire Night in our faculty's cafeteria. It was fun. You can see King James on the table.

Yeah, and not do a single thing to the door. But it's really movie physics, which is just fine I guess.

That pistols sure packs a punch. It can bend 2-inch-tick metal or shatter a table with only one shot.

The game has seen some significant changes in the newest patch. There is a considerable performance increase, which I'm sure everyone will welcome. However, the decision to replace the graphics with a blank screen during the gameplay itself is a more controversial one. I'm sure purists will find this a wonderful challenge to be conquered, but the step up in difficulty simply too much. I can't but wish they had included this as a new difficulty setting rather than something which affects every mode of play in the game.

What? 360 in freefall and "PS3 rocket"?

I'm just going to be a little bit sick over here now.

I've had one removed basically for kicks. They just yanked it out, no problem. Looked like a nice and friendly tooth. I'll let the rest of them stay, I doubt they'll cause any problems.

It's certainly better than the immortal NPCs in Oblivion. P.S. Hi Trithy!

Who wants to pay for a fucking beta.

Yeah, I am. Quirky tempo really adds difficulty to the game. The game can handle it, the question is can you.

I've bought it now. Luckily I have an immense amount of music to choose from. There are some control issues, some issues regarding resolution & monitor selection, but all in all I couldn't think of a better use for my 8€.
