I sort of feel those were the best cylon mothership scenes so far. It's been a long time since the previous ones though.

Was Homestar Runner ever all that popular? I think it's best Telltale picks something that inspires them rather than a game based on Chocolate Rain because it's popular.

Totoro...

Mel, see Porco Rosso. It's fantastic. Like a cartoon Casablanca.

Decent movies could have been made of IPs such as Alone in the Dark, but they're tainted now and won't be touched.

I thought that sounded wrong, but turns out PEGI is legally enforceable in Finland and a couple more countries, but not in the UK.

It's not the TV, it's those evil screenwriters. They're Satanists, the lot of them.

Why can't everything have John Malkovich?

Goddamnit, we had begun to get nice spring weather, most of the roads were clear of snow etc. Then a new layer today

It just looks weird. It doesn't look convincing or realistic. -
I bought an expensive bottle of whiskey, cleaned my bathroom and then drank some whiskey to forget.

Oh, yeah, uh, those ones in particular.

I thought it was pretty good. Worked better than Hogfather. Cohen, the Librarian, Vetinari, the Luggage, even Rincewind were all good. Twoflower, not so much.

What if Hollywood execs had never seen a movie?

Ahah, fantastic.

Yeah, music is weird in the HL2 series. It crops up in 30 second sound bites and always takes you out of the moment because you aren't used to hearing music in the game.

I'll read the article tomorrow, but regarding Kubrick: He's my favourite director, and the choice of music in 2001 is a good example of his genius. He was also a total douchebag -- the composer who scored 2001 found out his score wouldn't be used in the fucking premiere. I guess Kubrick didn't feel like telling him was important.

I played through a bunch of the different endings. The shame thing is a nice way to bring that name into the game. The pachinko gameplay is a bit of a chore, but the writing is amusing enough to offset that. Some of the endings are hilarious

You depressed me Noyb. Maybe I'll try it again. Took me a long time to realize you can drop more than one ball at a time.

Rincewind seems to have more than a passing resemblance to Albert.

I'll be there in 30 minutes ->

Oh man, Tom Waits is so fucking good... Alice & Blood Money are his best work, Real Gone and Mule Variations are great also. Hell, it's all great, Orphans is a bit diluted but there's such pearls there too...
