"Final Fantasy completely reinvents itself with each new installment." How can that sentence exist? I love listening to Japanese and trying to guess which words from the subtitles will be direct loans from English when spoken aloud. "Batturu system." The guy in that video is a true professional. He's not embarrassed he's presenting a video game. No, he's doing us a favour and expects adoration.

Man, Congrats Nick Breckon. Nah, congratulations for the job. I guess some podcast will inform me of the title. -

i'm listening to this on my ps3 right now, but i haven't listened to the past ten casts or so. suddenly a reader mentions the podcast is ending!? i'm only half-way through and i haven't read this thread so i have no idea why. I AM FREAKED OUT. writing this on a virtual keyboard took a long time.. -
Vengeance Trilogy as in Old Boy and the rest? Mature?

Oh yeah? Name one band I just get bored by the big names like Sonata Arctica whenever I happen to hear a song by them. But I'm not a metal head.

I could have done a ton more buddy missions and cell phone towers missions, only found half the diamonds and didn't find all the Jackal tapes. Then there's getting all the safe houses, scouting all the guard posts, stuff like that. But really, you don't even need the 30 hours to get basically all you need to see of the game. Maybe 20.

I just finished it. Clocked at 32-33 hours or so I think. Man, what a game. Made by people who know what games are and what they are not is a thought that sprang to my mind. Haven't fallen for a game like this for a long, long time

Man, Finnish metal sucks balls. But yeah, a ton of people here love metal. Perhaps Tim Schafer is the only person to be both a metal fan and a gaming fan.

It was actually LucasFilm Games. :fart: The original developer was The Assembly Line for Amiga ;D

I've actually been disappointed with the second season, because better than the first or not, now it should have accounted for Terminator, a show that started out really clumsy but had just grown into something great, being canceled. And it didn't do that.

It kind of sounds like you're critisizing the movie for being predictable and clichéd, but not being predictable and clichéd enough.
-
Nah, the stuff I read about it is pretty stupid. Like: You need to call people in the game, but there's only one phone in one city. If you are in another city, and need to call someone and then do something in the city you're in, you need to travel to the city with the phone, use it, and travel back to where you were.
-
Would you call this an opportunity? I wouldn't.

I looked at the DLC and decided I didn't want it. Didn't seem to fit the atmosphere of the game.

Cecil hasn't really been his best for the past 10 years or more.

But I thought SHEPHERD WAS DEAD!=!=!

Those Mishimas don't have it easy.

I'd separate bad writing from bad grammar. Wouldn't know which one is more prevalent, though :/

Every god damn time I read this topic I expect news about MechWarrior 2: Mercenaries.

A friend of mine tried Fable 2's online mode. The result was some kind of ball or something representing another playing running past him chanting "...fagfagfagfagfagfagfag..."
-
Man, the Ghost mode is like a thousand times more interesting than the Arcade mode, esp. without the silly movies we used to enjoy. I'm enjoying it

A quick look on GiantBomb involved a quest very near the beginning where the player was tasked to go into a dungeon to look for some shield that was an heirloom of his family. I think I'm done looking for shields in dungeons.

Hrrrrm.... So I got Jinpachi with Yoshimitsu. I spent about an hour training different moves and such, and then rushed through the stages up to Jinpachi. The training didn't make any difference though. After about fifteen matches or so, I turned off the sound and vibration from my controller, kind of stared off screen just enough to see when the matches begin and spammed a 10 hit combo I learned. That got him. Good game design there I just feel more pissed off now.

I'm playing the downloadable Tekken 5 (offline) for PS3 and jebus it's depressing. The 8 stages before the boss fight do absolutely nothing to prepare you for what's coming. I spent 90 minutes trying to kill Jinpachi just now :/ I used to play these with my cousin and brother, but I don't remember the balance ever being this bad. I used to be able to finish the game at least.
