Aaaargh, what the fuck is up with the useless heat seeking missiles. How can a missile be slower than a helicopter strafing around? It shouldn't even be able to stay airborne at that speed. I've taken out more choppers with the Carl Gustav than that "better" missile.
  2. The Witness by Jonathan Blow

What, making your game look pretty is suddenly some kind of big conspiracy?
  3. Battlethumbs: Idle Company

Wait, can you up the sensitivity when you are in a tank to make the aiming faster? I'm pretty sure the slow aiming in a tank is completely deliberate... It's a tank turret, not a pistol. I can't believe I can't make crouch toggle and iron sights not toggle. It's especially odd because it was reversed on the PS3 (I can't remember if you could remap it on the PS3).
  4. Sam & Max 2010

Wait, Kroms, are you Finnish? Because that sounds like a Finnish complaint
  5. Gaming Down Under: The Whole Rating Thing

Does the Aussie L4D2 have killer robots that spew green blood instead of zombies?
  6. Tax Breaks for UK Games Industry

Because your local locksmith isn't in competition with a Canadian locksmith who gets tax breaks.
  7. Battlethumbs: Idle Company

You know, I'd had pretty good self esteem for quite a while until I bought this game. I get worse at it every day.
  8. Movie/TV recommendations

Oh man, Shaun of the Dead and Hot Fuzz were soooo gooood.
  9. Tax Breaks for UK Games Industry

Thorn, the problem has been that video games, being vile and obscene, haven't been getting subsidies while the film industry and such have. So it's not that we want special treatment, it's that we want... treatment.
  10. Nintendo 3DS

Though there's no reason to do that unless Nintendo thoroughly cocks up the 3D implementation, since it's not difficult to do for developers if the tech is there.
  11. Mice for gamers.

My Sennheiser HD555 headphones have followed me to Scotland and back, several moves and a bunch of years. I don't think I own any piece of tech older than them. I did replace the (extremely comfortable) foam padding once, but otherwise served me very well indeed. And they sound excellent.
  12. Far Cry 2

I really enjoyed it on the PS3 and it seemed to suit the platform well.
  13. Tax Breaks for UK Games Industry

Probably sold a lot just because of the license, even if it was shit. But this is good news. I wonder if Finland has anything like this in place yet.

Dudes, RPS has their own server now. http://www.rockpapershotgun.com/2010/03/24/the-rps-bfbc2-server/ A potential server for Thumby goodness as well.
  15. Nintendo 3DS

Yep. If you get a pair of those bulky horrible 3d goggles, you can use them with a bunch of existing games because it's easy to do. The problem is that you need twice the FPS to get smooth gameplay.
  16. Trouble on Blobolonia

There is a button for solely for hugging.
  17. Trouble on Blobolonia

The Wii version seems just charming.
  18. The Witcher 2

Dramatic events? Unexpected! I did like that chat with the ogre or whatever by the fire. Never played the original.
  19. How would you survive the zombie apocalypse?

    I wouldn't. What's the point, anyway?
  20. Mini Thumbs meet?

So weird reading your posts now that I know what you sound like.
  21. Somehow Bayonetta doesn't disappoint me in the same way as Mass Effect 2 making me stare at Miranda's bum. Bayonetta is like a female Schwarzenegger -- only just human, an empowerment fantasy. Miranda is written to be a proper, multifaceted character, so doing that with her seems a lot worse. I hope I don't come across another entertainment with fucking happy space whores who are, like, super respected. I love Firefly but not that part of it.
  22. The perpetual thread of praise!

I will make delicious pizza for any Thumb who visits.

Either the Steam overlay or Skype really cuts into my FPS, so might be next time I'll just play with you but won't be in Skype. I played a weird game really late last night. Only three or four guys on the server with the dark snowy map, and I was alone. I played Recon for a change, running about and trying to get at least one of them before dying. I actually got two stations before I stopped playing. It was surprisingly fun
