No one cares about the loudmouth market.

To be fair, they were involved in the Bad Brain disaster, and they couldn't how the publisher was so full of air. That must have set development back.

Has anyone been playing the beta? It's an action MMO from (I think) the developers of Crackdown. It's not without some problems, but pretty special in many ways. Plays a lot like GTA. Being part of a Thumb crew in it would be awesome.

The Kasumi thing was not really worth the money. Doing it after finishing the game just felt pointless. I hope they have something new to offer.
-
Ehm. There's a tutorial... No, APB is all MMO. It doesn't seem like horrible drudgery like MMORPGs though.

I think the chemistry is really nice between all the characters. That's what carries the show. Otherwise it's good enough but nothing spectacular.

So do you guys dislike the movie as well (or, well, the trailer)? I hadn't heard of the comics until this thread. The movie looks ace to me.

I believe I spoiled the fun last week, Scratch :X

I'll be prepared for tonight's festivities! I've been playing a bit with my brother so I shouldn't be quite so useless. EDIT: I suppose we'll be playing the Left 4 Dead 1 version?

I haven't lived there myself, but I hear crazy stories. Apparently you have to wait in line, possibly for over a decade, just to lease an apartment from the actual owner. And while you wait, you pay each year, but you don't actually know if you'll get a lease. So most people live in sub-let apartments, or sub-sub-let for all I know. I suppose the university could be a big help. It's not like the people I know there live on the streets. Best of luck.

Where in Sweden? The housing situation in Stockholm is nasty.

Congratulations, dude. That's excellent!

Just saw Darkman. It's terrific, watch it. Maybe I should watch... that new Raimi film with the long name. Also, earlier today, I Love Philip Morris. With a pretty girl, thankfully, though I can't blame her for the selection. All my fault. It's not as bad as some recent Jim Carrey films, but it's also nowhere near as good as his better ones. Jim Carrey gets more slack from me than he really deserves because I was such a big fan as a kid. I still adore Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind and Man on the Moon, but he hasn't really made anything worthwhile in a long time. Probably he can shine if he gets properly directed, but I'm guessing most directors allow him to just goof off. What else... Breaking Bad started out good but it's simply stellar now. This new season took some time to take off but it's the best thing in television right now. I think the next episode will be the last one.

I'm not really interested in playing the single player at all, but a Thumb army could entice me to buy this.
-
I'm really hoping that if I wait a year to buy this they'll be able to patch it to a playable state. I don't know if Obsidian has ever managed that for their past bungles though.

Oh, I just read it now. So, uh, you have Shattered Horizons? We should play. When your arms are operational that is. As long as it's not too late.
-
So, uh... Now you can write in the Injuries that prevented gaming thread.. :X Man, that is rough! I hope you're ok now. Yikes.

A new multiplayer game (for the times when left for lobby gets too much)
brkl replied to Armchair General's topic in Multiplayer Networking
Shattered Horizon is pretty cool. It certainly plays differently and I think it's still 10 bucks. The minimum specs are a bit tough though: Processor: Intel Core 2 Duo E6600 / AMD Athlon64 X2 5600+ Memory: 2GB Graphics: 256MB NVIDIA GeForce 8800GT / ATI Radeon HD 3870 DirectX®: 10 (Does not support DirectX 9) Vista or Win 7 only. It's supposed to be playable with those. The Futuremark guys know something about performance -
They did have that brain-hacking thing, which suggests sneaky gameplay more than gung ho action.
-
Hmm, I should totally have a good thorough feel of my testes, just in case.
-
I would be surprised if it was developers that did this.

Feels a bit like retreading old ground though. Why not go to China or any other scenario they haven't approached yet?
-
I think he's addicted to it. He did The Machinist before Batman Begins, then Rescue Dawn before The Dark Knight. I respected him for The Machinist, but then I began to suspect he's a nutter.

Why judge the whole season as one unit when the quality of episodes varies so strongly? If you only look at the latter half of both earlier seasons they are very good, though the new one seems to be better still.
