  1. Recently completed video games

    304 is out today? Shiiiit.
  2. Alien swarm

That's some bullshit. I won't get it now as protest.
  3. Recently completed video games

Metro 2033 is killing me. The world and production values are great, but the actual combat especially against mutants is just terrible. Now I'm stuck in a dark piece of the underground and people tell me to find a bomb and an airlock, but all I can find is some rails, some stairs, dark corridors and respawning mutants. Just not fun at all.
  4. DeathSpank

I didn't see a demo either, I just bought it. Although that was a few days ago.
  5. Far Cry 2

If it doesn't hit you pretty soon, you'll probably never enjoy the game. It's a love/hate experience, and if you hate it now that might not change.
  6. Movie/TV recommendations

Bad Lieutenant is terrific, everybody should disregard what Scrobbs says and go see it
  7. DeathSpank

Come on, he wouldn't repeatedly hint towards a PC version if it wasn't coming. If you have a console though, there's no reason really to wait for the PC version. The game seems to have been designed with a gamepad in mind.
  8. Who do you write like

I got the same as elmuerte from my thesis. I don't know who David Foster Wallace is, but I guess it would be fitting that I write like some nobody.
  9. Movie/TV recommendations

I'm sure a gory Hollywood remake will come by eventually with all that.
  10. DeathSpank

I can't really trust reviews with Hothead products considering how much I enjoyed the Penny Arcade games. I'm going to pick it up as soon as I can.
  11. Movie/TV recommendations

I want Tarkovsky restored on Bluray :/
  12. DeathSpank

There just seemed to be a weird expectation that Ron Gilbert was going to show how the games had been done wrong until now and this is how they should be done. When's this thing even out in Europe?
  13. Dragon Age

To me, the actual story of Awakening was way more interesting than the old orc invasion of the original.
  14. DeathSpank

I would get it for my PS3, but at least late last night it wasn't available. EDIT: Eurogamer seems to be thinking Gilbert made this game to mock Western RPGs, but all interviews I've read would indicate he made this because he likes both Diablo-like games and adventure games.
  15. Mass Effect 2

I didn't play infiltrator but got a sniper rifle later and really liked using it.
  16. Dragon Age

God the Bioware website is terrible. It's all so confusing. Every time I go looking for a new DLC or trying to download my old ones I just get lost.
  17. Post your face!

    Totally ruined tubgirl for me.
  18. Dragon Age

I think it's a good look, you just need to take possession of it.
  19. Alpha Protocol

I've done that with Bad Company 2 at least three times. Yeah, I'm not getting this. I had some misplaced hope that this would be when Obsidian finally gets their act together but it was not to be. Even for all their faults I really miss Troika.
  20. Dragon Age II

I disabled that almost immediately. It was a huge immersion breaker for me that people would have lengthy conversations without wiping the blood and gore of assorted creatures off their face first.
  21. Dragon Age II

Considering the Dragon Age world & mythos is not interesting, I'm not sure what's left if they tie us down to a predetermined character.
  22. What is the Mystery of Scoggins?

The comments here are all somewhat minor niggles about the puzzles. The setting, characters, music, etc. are all lovely. You should definitely get it if you're on the cusp.
  23. Amnesia: The Dark Descent

It still has the worst name ever. Some indie adventure games can be excused for names like this, but not anything coming from an actual proper studio.
